Me and my friend booked 2 seperate rooms for 3 nights. Unfortunately the 1. Day of our hostel experience we couldnt sleep because of the Staff. All the night they played billiard and laughed around of the swimming pool. And the 2. Night the some of the guests run in the hostel and listened high music i didnt have to listen their music and nobady warned them. And the last day of us wanted to help for airport shuttle . But they wanted get some comission in taxi and put extra money (1. Day they said 40.000 cop 3. Day 45.000 cop) and they try to get more comissions on daily tours too. You can go all the places by taxi cheaper than hostel. Generally the staffs of reception and kitchen are polita but i can not for everybody ! I can not reccommend this place. How they could get so many 5* points i can not believe!

Divanga Hostel is a charming hostel located in Taganga, a small seaside neighborhood of Santa Marta, with a team of lovely people always ready to help visitors with any queries. The site, very pretty, thanks to the natural and colorful design, the refreshing central swimming pool, the lush vegetation and the ventilated terraces, seduces by the quality of vibrations and reassures by the total security that brings night keeper and cameras. The hostel accommodation is simple but fulfilling all the needs of the traveler, with private bathroom in every room, fresh sheets and generous breakfast included in all rates. On site an excellent French restaurant serves an extensive menu and the bar serves natural juices, exclusive cocktails and offers entertaining activities with a pool table, musical evenings.. The must: the reception informs about diving and about all excursions and tourist attractions around. Important: Divanga is certified in quality of sustainable tourism by Tourism Ministery

The hostel "La Casa de Felipe" is situated in Taganga, just 15 minutes by bus from Santa Marta. It's located in the upper part of the village, seven minutes walk from the beach. It's ideal for relaxing on the terrace after a day of excursions to Tayrona Park, The Lost City, diving, or on the beach. We offer dormitories, private rooms with private bathroom and studio apartments with fully equipped kitchen facilities.
We enjoyed our stay at La Casa de Felipe. In general, our room was clean and well looked after. We loved the small terrace outside our room with hammocks and deck chairs for us to be able to socialise with our friends, who they kindly put into the room next to us. The Mirador was also a fantastic place to watch the sunset and enjoy the wonderful mix of birds that fly around this area. The staff here stand out as amazingly supportive. Before we even arrived they were offering us guidance about beach reservations. Then we had to be isolated whilst visiting (due to a possible contact with COVID and then delayed results) and the hotel were great at supporting us, while ensuring everyone stayed safe. The restaurant is also a stand out for us. Ricardo and his wife Natalia work super hard. There is a limited number of dishes but they are all delicious (my favourite was the chicken curry) and we loved having a brownie and ice cream as we watched the sunset. We ate out a few times, but kept reverting back to the restaurant onsite. Our only downside is the ventilation in the rooms. We booked knowing there was no AC, which was fine as there were ceiling fans. However, the open tiles in the rooms, which also helped cool the room, meant we were constantly bombarded by mosquitoes. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the sea front, which we preferred as the area was generally quiet. You walk past a couple of little stores to pick up provisions too. However, we don't recommend staying New Year's Eve- the locals play music so loud the room vibrates and this lasted 36 hours.

In a traditional neighborhood on the sunny Colombian Caribbean coast, La Tortuga Hostel inmerses you in the local athmosphere. Here you will make friends and enjoy cocktails on our rooftop bar with a breathtaking view of Taganga bay. In addition to offering accommodation, we also have PADI certified scuba diving staff that can show you the bautiful underwater world. La Tortuga adds something special to Taganga, making it more than just a jump off point from which to access Tayrona Park. This is a place where you´ll feel like staying, enjoying and relaxing. Just follow the turtle and welcome home!
The visit was not good at all, for several reasons: 1. We didn’t got the rooms we booked 2. The bar is not working 3. The staff wanted to lock us outside after 23 4. For 10 min late for checkout charged us 50% fee and won’t listen to us at all. Overall, the hostel is in bad condition, the staff wasn’t listening or willing to help and the price isn’t worth what you get.

Someplace down the road about 10 years ago many places in Colombia made a change from Hotel to hostal thinking more people would book their place. This little hotel is absolutely great. It offers a nice accommodation with a very convenient location. 2 minute walk to the beach, bus stops right outside, atm’s within a minute walk, and couple little stores to grab a local drink or snack. Rooms are big though do note that you need to specify for ac. My guess some don’t have ac since I was asked the lastime I was there. There is a nice but simple breakfast in the morning which is extra or you can chose to walk by the beach for more options. Those looking to dive this would be a great spot since most of the dive shops are just a minute away. I dove with Oceano and had a couple really good dives with them.

We booked using hotels.com - received a confirmation of the booking, everything was fine and we were ready to enjoy our stay. After several flights and an hour in a blazingly hot taxi we arrived. The lady in the reception did not speak one single word of English which I suspect is a bit more convenient when you've clearly f'ed up. But what she could inform, in Spanish, was that this hotel did not exist on hotels.com, which was odd since we had a confirmation of the booking. We did read the other review of someone being rejected even in spite of having booked - we guessed this was a 'one off' event, it wasn't and it isn't. This is simply unacceptable and if you read this review and you are still considering to go, just know that having a confirmed reservation does not count. Going here is a coin-toss and that is just ironic calling this place Casa Relax - my girlfriend and I named it: Casa Stress. In short: don't go.
