We had a lovely stay in hostel skippy. We only stayed for one night but would happily stay here again for much longer. It would be the perfect place for a little arts or writing/ reading retreat, in a quiet and charming room next to the river. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, clearly enjoying their lives and wishing for everyone that stays with them to do the same. Thanks ever so much for having us, I’m sure you’ll see us again.

We had a paid reservation for end of April and arrived there at 12:45 in the afternoon. We had double parked in their rear parking lot and we needed to make sure it was okay to leave the car there pending the 2:00 check-in time. Unfortunately, climbing the stairs in the rear (the only access) and buzzing the reception, we found that there was nobody there! A man did finally answer the intercom, but we could not hear what he was saying and he would not buzz us in. Turns out the reason he couldn't is that he was not on site. We were in an awkward position. Left at the top of this industrial stair, facing an opaque steel door and having to decide what to do with our car below. We left to get a room at a different hotel. We had no choice. I did not want my car to get booted. In my threads with the owner since, he has declined to give any refund or even to apologize for leaving his business unmanned in the middle of the day. Their web page says that the reception is staffed throughout the day. If nothing else, just be aware that that is not true. The hotel looks like a decent place and I always try support family-owned business over chain. But as a matter of principle, I will not be giving them my business when I return to Tabor.

Krumlov House believes in ample space to sleep and dream. PLEASE NOTE: We are no longer a hostel, as we only offer private rooms with private WC/showers. Single travelers, families, and small groups will find a friendly and inclusive atmosphere with plenty of space and free facilities to cook, play games and music, or just enjoy the sun and a book on our outdoor terrace.
Stayed here as part of a travel group a couple of weeks ago and we were really made to feel welcome! Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable - there are lovely hand-drawn maps available with useful recommendations for the whole town. We had the en-suite room upstairs - it was clean, homely and quirky, as was the whole hostel. Would definitely stay here again!

Hostel 99 is a friendly, family-owned hostel in a lovingly-restored 16th-c. Building located in heart of UNESCO protected Cesky Krumlov, one of the world's-best preserved medieval cities. We offer a variety of accommodation from dorm rooms with unique atmosphere, to comfortable private doubles and triples. Hostel 99 is centrally-located within the old town, only steps away from all that Krumlov has to offer. It is the closest hostel to both the train station and bus stop, making it a great place to unload your backpack and relax. Whether you choose to spend your days exploring the city, enjoying delicious Czech beer in the local pubs, gently floating down the river in one of our rafts, or just hanging out on the hostel terrace or in our friendly Hospoda 99 or cozy Deli 99, Hostel 99 provides you with all you need to fall in love with Krumlov.
Great location, easy walk from the bus stop. Really nice and peaceful place, nice bar with excellent food attached. Owner was super friendly, decent price. Bed was super comfy. Was happy to get to a hostel where I could get a good nights sleep. Recommended.

My friend and I stayed for one night over the winter break and it was perfect. The staff is really friendly and helpful, the house is super cozy and the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are really clean and well equipped. However, the stairs to the various floors are tiny, so keep that in mind if you have big luggage. Finally, it has a perfect location, near the city centre and great restaurants (like Restavracija Marie).

We stayed at the Hostel Havana for few days this summer and we were very pleased with our experience there. The hostel is located just 7-10 min walking to the city centre, which is great to stay away from all the touristic masses (believe me there is A LOT of people) and get a feel of the tranquillity of the city. It has a supermarket few minutes away, and it is also located by the river so don't miss out looking at all the people who are falling into the water from their canoes! To begin with, we loved how the experience started with a little treasure hunt to find our key (since we arrived quite late and reception was already closed) and a delicious cold beverage (perfect to beat the warm Czech weather). We stayed in a twin room which was very clean and comfortable. The shared toilet facilities were constantly looked after and the kitchen offered free coffee, tea making facilities as well as few other breakfast essentials. The hostel provides few outside areas to hangout even at late hours which is perfect when you are a group of people that would like to spend time together without bothering the fellow room mates. Also the hostel offers a wide range of activities that you can book directly at the reception to help you enjoying Cesky Krumlov to the fullest! We would definitely stay there again and thank you to Vlatka and Martin for being such great hosts.

On exploring the town which was lonely on a cold October day, we came across this restaurant and went in for a meal. We were asked to wait to be seated, and were given a table which was to be shared with a couple, we didnt mind. The meal we had was local and very tasty as well as very good beer.
