Shanghai is the cool, confident face of modern China, and its energy is infectious. Go to the Bund to watch ships on the river and marvel at the huge variety of architectural styles on display, or watch the crowds go by in People’s Square. Shoppers should make a beeline for the Fabric Market, where you can have a suit or dress tailor-made for you at bargain prices. At night, explore all manner of fashionable restaurants, bars and nightclubs, or just stroll through the city enjoying the spectacular neon lights.

With absolute central location, Blue Mountain BUND Youth Hostel is definitely your BEST choice for exploring Shanghai. 5 minutes' walk from East Nanjing Rd and metro station, and 15 minutes' from the Bund, what more can you ask for?Our hostel provides cozy rooms, customized beds and friendly staff. We offer free Internet access, free movies, pool game, books, and table football. It is always full of fun!
As I had originally planned to take a ferry from Osaka to Shanghai I had booked this hostel - my 3rd stay at this hostel I guess. I like the location, big terrace and laundry facilities. Also very close to the delicious Yang’s fried dumplings. Normally a great location within walking distance from the Bund, during October holiday week it was sometimes difficult to return due to the ‘crowd control’ blocking certain walking directions - but that is obviously not the hostel’s fault. You sometimes need to push the staff a little in order to get what you need, but in general they are helpful and kind.

I recently spent six nights here and thought it was delightful even though my room was on the third floor and there is no elevator. The room was large, nicely decorated, and the service attentive. The Internet service was poor, but I think that is due to government policies rather than local facilities. It is fairly close to a Metro stop and surrounded by interesting restaurants.

Good stay as this hostel has everything a backpacker wants from a hostel, mostly if it is the first trip to China. Staff speaks English and amenities such laundry/ free wifi/ common spaces to meet other travelers are available. Did not try the bar but the location is very good close to the Bund and for shopping streets if you fancy.

We booked a double room at Naza Place as it was advertised as a hotel. Anyway, naza being a hostel wasn't a problem. We arrived with 4 luggages and many stuff and eventhough one of the employee was looking at us when we were crossing the street to enter Naza he didn't even open the door for us! he kept looking at us in a funny way. when we got to the room we couldn't be more horrified: old and dirty furniture (old and smelly is not vintage) and the smell of mould was unbereable! the place looked very unsafe, window could be easily opened from outside and the hostel was empty! it looked so creepy that we left immediately! there are hotel downtown in shanghai for the same price and clean!! Avoid. the rooms do not like like the pictures!

Le Tour Shanghai Youth Hostel is a simple and clean bed & breakfast hostel in the heart of Shanghai. The traffic is extremely convenient, 5 minutes walk to 2 subway stations - JingShaJiang Road Station or Caoyang Road Station (Line 3, Line 4 and line 11) and over 20 bus lines passing by. On the first floor, we have a bar, an entertainment room, a mini-gym, a reading room and a sitting room.We have a friendly atmosphere and very clean accommodation for your trip in Shanghai.
Shanghai is an expensive city and Le Tour is a nice budget option. I stayed in one of their mini apartments for 4 nights. The place is clean and minimal. Everything is there, but you don't feel super comfortable. There was no nice sitting chair + table, so I lay on the bed most of the time. Shower / bathroom was good enough to get the job done, but that's about it. Anyway, it was a budget place and it was China, so I guess I should have adapted my expectations accordingly. Staff was friendly but their English was poor. I'm sure this is a vibrant place in summer, but when I was there (half December) it was a quite quiet... Location-wise it's really very good. Just a 10 min walk from the largest metro line + Jian Temple, and countless bars (most for expats), shops and restaurants nearby.

This hostel is friendly, really close to the bund and the main shopping street. You can walk to subway but it's not that close. The problem with this hostel is that it's to close with a building (I don't know each one) that has a bell that rings very loud from 7am to 10pm. So if you havea light sleep and doens't wanto to be awake by this kind of noise, look for another hostel... There's also a popular bar on the top of the hostel and another on crossing the street with loud music till too late, so it doens't help at all.

还有一点,每个人的热水时间是15min,他们的一分钟是100s(超过需要收费,费用不明,没问) 2. 还有一点,每个人的热水时间是15min,他们的一分钟是100s(超过需要收费,费用不明,没问) 2.

Line 2, Chuansha station, located corner of Jinxian Road and Chuansha New Town We booked this via booking.com, and I'd say that that time, it was the cheapest among the accommodations for three persons. Brace for quite a stroll from there to Exit 1 of Chuansha metro station, but we enjoyed our walk as we pass by a cute dog store, fruit and wet markets, and groceries. It might be difficult for one to access WiFi since it is quite complicated, but if you do not have any sim card based in China and you're asked for a number, just key in Room number 8888 then key 8888 so that you can connect. If you will access social media sites, don't forget to use VPN.

I visited Fudan University as a part of exchange program from my college Trinty College Dublin in May 2016 (could'nt selected a date before 2018 thats why selected SEP 2018) for a week and stayed here. The place is quite good and clean and the staff are also very helpful. The location is also nearby 2 metro stations so exploring shanghai was not a problem. I'd recommend this place for staying.
