Even though it's a 4 star hotel, it was a long way from what you expexct from a 4 star hotel, but taking the price into consideration I did not expect much and since it was the only hotel in Pingyi with stars there was no other choice. The room was acceptable, the bed was fine and the sheets clean but look a little used. The Bathroom looked clean but the lack of water pressure made it difficult to get at decent shower. The internet was slow. The aircondition/heating wasn't working. It was a Chinese breakfast but I found somethinbg to eat. It is the first time I have got sprite for breakfast. The dining hall was acceptable but the carpent needed at cleaning. Pingyi city is very boring and there is notning to do after dinner than staying at your room. I managed to find a bar but it was closed and turned into at internet bar.

This hostel was difficult to find, especially in the evening. The gate is closed, not locked, in the evening and locked at midnight, so be careful. But, the owner was very nice and sincere. Unfortunately, he does not speak English, though. I saw the pictures from his trips in China which were displayed on the walls around my room and they were very motivational.

On arrival the building is impressive from outside and the area full of trees and older buildings. In the little park the old men played cards around the table and there was Tai chi in the morning. This is a good budget option in the old sector of the city where you are near to the pier and the holiday makers. The reception area has a cat in a cage, an area for a dog (which we never saw) and lots of old books. Staff were helpful and friendly being young students. The room had a double bed and a large single. Beds were 'firm' as in most of China Shower was a wet room - again common in all standards of hotel. We had difficulty paying and the hotel could not process MasterCard or visa. There is a great view from the top of the conservatory and a bar which does food but we didn't try it. There were quite a few ytravellers in the evening but there was no issue with noise. Although this hostel has great potential the whole thing feels somewhat dilapidated and grubby, in need of a facelift.

Hostel Marina is one of Qingdao's newest hostels, with its prime location you are never far from the top attractions Qingdao has to offer; including Qingdao's Polar Ocean World located only a few minutes away. Here at Hostel Marina, We offer amazing ocean views from almost every room, including the downstairs cafe which overlooks the harbor. With the harbor at our front door, you are only a few steps away from Qingdao's beautiful sunrise. We are colse to beer city,Qingdao University, and city center. On the ground floor, we have a coffee bar, with a large variety of drinks on offer to match your mood and the time of day. On weekends we take advantage of the doorstep harbor and host fresh seafood barbecue parties, with cocktails and other refreshing and energizing beverages. With our extremely convenient location and with the majority of Qingdao's buses passing right outside our door, you are only a bus ride away from everything Qingdao has to offer, including many delicious restaurants and bars. After your arrival to Qingdao, your time traveling will be quick and painless; with the help of our friendly staff combined with the Qingdao Luiting International Airport only a thirty minute drive away, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride through Qingdao's beautiful and historic scenery.
The location of this hostel seems to be in a failed property development area. It is near Polar Ocean World which is not close to anything else of interest. It's 12 km from the main Qingdao railway station. Quite pleasant harbour views in the morning. We had a private room and an 8 bed dorm. The dormitory beds were well built, pod style for privacy however all the beds were unmade with dirty linen left on them, no towels! the private room was ok although when I attempted to access the room using my newly given pin code someone from the inside opened the door, mumbled in Chinese, exited and then entered the adjacent room. He had clearly been sleeping in my 'clean' sheets! The private room looked ok and was spacious with a window, towels and toiletries provided, it had a tv fixed to the wall. Wifi worked well enough too. The noise was quite bad, the ceiling wasn't sealed to the walls so next doors telephone conversation was crystal clear! Especially at 1am! Plus the friends chatting on the stairs made for interesting listening! NOT! The bathroom for the private room is meant to be shared with just 1 other! It was dirty, the loo was filthy, I wouldn't go bare foot in there to wash! Just touching the door handle needed care!! The bathroom for the dorm was filthy and muddy, the showers were broken. All in all I would not recommend this hostel despite the price for 1 night being ¥25 and ¥90. Personally I'd rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere clean and near to amenities.

It was simply super cool! I was regreting about not being able to live there as all the fairly cheap rooms had been booked. I stayed at the cafe for the whole afternoon cause it just had the charm to make you stayed. The place was an heritage which was amazing! And inside it, there was a lot of art work! I love the strong cultural atmosphere! Me and my friend ordered only a few things but asked a lot of questions and sat for a long time, yet the staff members were still very friendly to us XDD Itls just hard to find such service in most of the places of China. And the staff made us free drink based on the extra resources of the other orders and even offered us fruits of them own!! I was so surprised by their friendliness and you now understand why I wanted to live there so badly XDD

The staffs great you in the morning with a big smile when you head out and welcome you back when you get back. They were very helpful wit/ directions and tips as well. Very fast wifi. Very cute room. Water speed is a bit low. Also, water heating system is solar powered. Thats another plus!
