Reviewed By JanvanderVlugtI recently spent 6 nights in Hostel Villa Gherardi in Barga. I chose the charming village of Barga as a base to explore the beautiful Garfagnana-region in Toscana. The very affordable hostel is located inside an impressive historical villa dating back to the 16th century. It has a big garden and offers sweeping views of the old town. Amazing! The hostel has a great ambiance and authentic Italian feel to it. It is spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. To enjoy a wonderful breakfast on the balcony of the dining room is simply the best start of the day you can imagine. But most important of all: the place is run by the wonderful Adele, a bilingual Scottish lady of Italian descent. Superfriendly, efficient and someone who really makes you feel at home. If you plan to stay in Barga, Villa Gherardi is definitely the place to go. I highly recommend it.

Located in the mediaeval hamlet of Pruno, in the middle of Apuan Alps natural park, the hostel is the perfect place for hikers, tourists and families looking for a corner of quiety and beauty in the North of Tuscany. It's easy to reach by train and bus or by car. Hiking can start directly from the door. Managers are guides of the park. Half an hour from the hostel there are an old chestnut mill, still running, and a spectacular waterfall. Surrounded by forests, stone houses and hight mountains, Pruno is only 20 km from the beach of Versilia, close to Pisa, Lucca and Cinque Terre national park. The hostel is a new building with spacefull and sunny rooms, a garden, a dining room always open and a living room. Books are available for our guests. Public transport: train to Pietrasanta railway station. Bus to Pruno By car: A12 motorway to Versilia and direction Seravezza and then PRUNO. Be careful in CARDOSO village to follow the street sign for Pruno turning straight on the left

Ostello La Salana is the brand new hostel situated in the hearth of Capannori, at only 5 kms from Lucca. The hostel has 24 beds in private and shared rooms, a nice bar and a restaurant open to everybody, both for lunch and dinner. Our guest can enjoy of the huge garden where several events will take place, two common areas with library, internet point, tv and sofas, Buffet breakfast, free wifi, free parking, bike rental, air-co in al the rooms, we also organize tours ans shuttle service.

Reviewed By Manu060312La prima tappa del nostro cammino non poteva che partire meglio. Dopo aver percorso gran parte del tragitto su strada, ci inoltriamo nella campagna che ci accompagna davanti a una chiesetta diroccata (purtroppo…fate qualcosa per recuperarla) a cui é annesso l’Hostal Badia. Siamo state accolte dal simpatico e ospitale gestore che subito ci ha fatte accomodare e dissetare. Camerata pulita e ordinata con vista sulla stupenda campagna. L’ostello é attrezzatissimo: mascherine, phone, piccolo bar a offerta libera, lavatrice, bagni grandi, biancheria, cena buona e colazione pure. La menzione d’onore va al gestore che ha fatto la differenza facendoci sentire tra amici. Consigliatissimo!

Reviewed By leonardos559L'appartamento è pulito e confortevole un angolo di pace in una posizione strategica sia per il mare che per i monti, dalla piscina si gode di un'ottima vista, la colazione è stata ottima e abbondante, la proprietaria gentilissima e disponibile, esperienza da rifare!
