I booked 2 nights here with my boyfriend and two friends thinking we would be having one rest day and then heading to the Salt Flats. Unfortunately, my boyfriend got altitude sickness and food poisoning so our plans changed a bit. We ended up extending our stay daily and stayed for 6 nights. The staff were amazing. They gave us tips on how to make him feel better and gave us details on nearby hospital, that luckily we didn’t need to visit in the end. The hostel is a short walk from the Main Street where you can buy food and souvenirs. The hostel itself is very clean and comfortable. The photos on Trip Advisor do not do it justice. It’s actually more aesthetically pleasing in person. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. From 8-10am they have fresh scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, milk, coffee, tea and watermelon. It was lovely! I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the Salt Flats in Uyuni.

This hostel is very good value. Lovely old building very comfey bed and large room and a good shower with plenty of hot water. The buffet breakfast is superb. I arrived early on first day and staff offered me breakfast and let me check in early too. The staff were very very helpful and the hostel was clean. Not to be overlooked.

Small village, small hostel: OK rooms, decent beds, all clean but a bit rough around the edges (which is kond of the point of Torotoro as a whole). The staff is all family and you'll feel really welcomed here (even if the senora doesn't speak a lot of spanish (or english), so better learn a few words Quechua if the senor is absent ;-) ).

Alojamiento La Roca is a family run hostel located three blocks from Main Square. We offer single, double and triple rooms with cable TV and hot water 24h / 7.
We stayed for 2 weeks here during total quarantine due to coronavirus. The owners are very nice people, even brought us food several times... It is centrally located, very clean... Would recommend rooms with private bathroom. Only thing for improvement is the bed mattresses on king size beds are outdated, and not comfortable. Must purchase new ones.

After 6 weeks travel in very basic conditions our stay in the Koala Den was comforting. Hot showers were greatly appreciated. I made regular use of the kitchen that was kept clean and had everything I needed to prepare meals. The name "Den" is quite appropriate as you descend into the hostal and our room didn't have any natural light. The staff was friendly and helpful that contributed a lot to our happiness with our visit!

A modern hostel for any budget, with many extra's. Individual room or dorm. Video lounge, laundry service, storage, cable tv, breakfast. We organize great jeep tours to Uyuni and guided horse tours for beginners and experienced riders. We got many years of experience to make your stay in Tupiza a wonderful experience.
Alexia who own the place is VERY helpful and friendly. She is available during the day and will give you assistance over WhatsApp if needed. I would like to thank you for all the help and hospitality! The location of the hostel is very close to the bus terminal and the different amenities. Good location to stay.

The Hostal is a bit rustic and twisty, the suite on the second floor with balcony had its own charm and was well equipped. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, for a very early check-out they provided breakfast for us on time. Todo bien!

We stayed in this hostel 2 nights. Our room was on the first place, simple room for 2 people, no bathroom. 2 toilets and 2 showers (all shared) are on the first floor. And it's a kind of not enough. In the daytime the hostel is very peacefull and emply, but in the evening lot's of tourists are coming and the line to the toilet is getting long. Not very comfortable to be in the toilet and to know that a couple of ppl are waiting for you ander the glass door. Anyway we liked a fresh design of the hostel, it looks new and fresh. The doorbell is another pain in the ass, cuz to leave a hostel you need to wake up a manager/to enter a hostel as well... There is a kitchen, and you actually can order a dinner, or you can cook yourself, but you will need to wait when the dinner is over. the breakfast is very simple and humble, but it's ok.

It is a hotel with beautiful rooms and kindly staff.
The hotel has a very nice interior in colonial style. It was little bit cool at night. Excellent helpful staff was always there to help. Good breakfast. The hotel is easy to find. Price also was realy good.

For 100 bolivianos a night for a double room, this place is pretty cheap — the rooms are spartan but warm and clean, the beds are really comfortable, showers are hot. Staff were very attentive to my friend when he was ill and gave tea and blankets without being asked, and also arranged our tour to the mines and the city tour for us. Breakfast is very basic — bread with butter and jam. There was almost nobody else staying there when we were there, so it was quiet and not good for socialising, but a really nice place to rest a few days.
