Known best for its wine, Mendoza is a bustling city to the east of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere. Although it draws its share of adventure travelers, lured by the climbing, skiing, hiking and rafting opportunities within an easy drive of downtown, the area’s more than 1,000 vineyards bring oenophiles in even greater numbers.

Chill inn hostel is located in the heart of the Aristides Villanueva street, known for its bars and restaurants and great nightlife. Just 8 blocks from the central square and 2 San Martin Park. We have private rooms and shared dorms, Air conditioning and heating in all rooms, Free WiFi in all rooms, including the bedrooms. Large garden with pool, grill, clay oven and jacuzzi. Free breakfast
Location excellent but not worth it for one second. One staff member verbally abused me for having the temerity to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. They put guests in the same room as the volunteers who work there while we also had to share a dorm with the owner who slept there after partying until 6am. Was confronted by another staff member for talking in the room at 2pm in the afternoon. Genuinely the most bizarre experience I've ever had in a hostel. We left a day early rather than stay another minute in the place. Owner refunded the last night in fairness but an absolute joke nonetheless. Don't bother. Shambles.

?? The good: -friendly & helpful staff -Secure => entry gate is locked 24/7 -very central location -one of tje very few hostels, which provides locks for the lockers in the room -spaceous patio -although nevet tried, the breakfast locked tasty ?? The bad: -the bathrooms are very tiny. They have no space to put your belongings. Also when showering the whole bathroom inclusive floor gets wet -sometimes wifi didin't work or was veru slow -there is no shelve or so next to the beds where small belongings , like celulares, can be stored

It's a cozy hostel located at Luján de Cuyo, and the owner is a likeable nice person and helpful. Everything is simple and doesn't have breakfast, for that it's pricey. But is a good place to stay anyway.

Super nice hospitality team, helpful and very fun ambient. Located 10 min walking from the city centre, quiet zone. My room is big, has air condition, and enough windows to have a good air circulation. The kitchen has all needed facilities. Supermarket is located 2 min walking and also some restaurants. Highly recommended hostel.

Wifi is VERY hit & miss Bathrooms are very smelly from the drains - we got an air freshener from the supermarket which helped the smell. The whole property could do with updating - I'm sure it was a great hostel 10 years ago but its quite run down and the common areas really need a good clean. The rooms were pretty clean but the kitchen/lounge weren't. Our main concern however was the treatment from the host on checkout when settling the bill - to pay by credit card (which booking.com states you must do as a tourist to avoid the 21% VAT tax) he charges 10% - which he says its an external fee passed on by the mobile eftpos machine he uses. This is stated nowhere on the booking.com listing so it came as an unexpected surprise - clearly you stay at this hostel if you are on a budget so an extra 10% isn't great. He got very "heated" (his words not ours) over us questioning this and the lack of upfront knowledge of this. He tried showing us that he has written it on booking.com - which he has actually put in his personal business profile not on the public listing that the guests who are viewing the property can see - we don't believe he is trying to be dishonest but it is true that the guests can't see this. We agreed to pay this, but were purely telling him that to avoid guests like us being left with a bad surprise, it should be more clear. He handed this situation so poorly, he was pointing in our faces and raising his voice, speaking over us. Making us feel quite unsafe. Up to this point, it had been an average but unremarkable stay. This was the turning point for us to feel that people should make better decisions than us, and stay elsewhere. The host will likely deny all of this in his comments as we've now seen in his replies to other reviews - calling people liars but unfortunately for us, this is all true.

New Hostel in the centre of Mendoza. Locted in one of the popular street of the area, Black Sheep invites tourists to saty in the hostel to enjoy of the best confort in the zone. We have Doubly rooms mainly, and 4 shared rooms with only four beds each. All the rooms have private bathroom and Air conditioning.

Lemon Tree hostel is located on Panamericana route, in the discos area of Chacras de Coria. Easily accessible, to 35 minutes from the international airport of Mendoza and 20 minutes from the Mendoza center. With a beautiful view of the mountains, surrounded by the vineyards and wineries in the area of the best Malbec of the world. The hostel has spacious kitchen, dining room, comfortable rooms and shared bathrooms. All with central heating. We offer wi-fi internet and satellite television. In a large park we have outdoor swimming pool, barbecue zone, and bar service. We also have mini soccer field and beach volleyball, billiard game, soccer board game and ping pong table. Every day several excursions are offered in the area. Some of them are: "bike and wine", "horseback riding", treiking and kayaking on the Potrerillos dam. For the night we have a party room where we offer thematics parties, karaoke and food service
I get that it's a quirky hostel with a nice garden, however charging £70 for a private room (with no lock or private bathroom) is a bit ridiculous, particularly as its on a main road on the edge of town. On our first night the owner invited us to enjoy burgers in the garden (our fault for not checking the price!) in the morning we were charged 750ARS per rotten burger which felt underhand and is much pricier than going out. If you are looking to spend this amount of cash you can get so so much better.
