The Cabin Hostel is surrounded with restaurants, cafes and all kind of services. Bus stops and stations are on spot and easy to reach. The Cabin Hostel offers free wifi, 24 hours front desk, air conditioned rooms and coffee station. A perfect choice to visit Petra on a budget. The staff is adorable. Dinner and breakfast have lots of choice. They even pack lunch bags if needed for the days on the site. They sell water and snacks at better prices than the mini markets around and everyone in the staff is kind and smiling. Bathrooms are cleaned very often. And the location is literally 5 minutes walk from the site. I spent 5 nights there and would be happy to visit again if I go back to Petra.

I stayed 2 nights here while in Petra. While at first I was concerned about being a little over a mile from the entrance (I wanted to be closer), it wasn’t a big deal and cost 2 JD for a quick ride if I wanted. The hotel itself is very basic no frills, but Omar the receptionist is what made my stay there special. He is the sweetest guy ever and went out of his way to help me with anything I needed. He wanted to make sure that I was happy. We need more Omars in the world!

Your best choice in Petra Jordan hotels . Moses Spring hotel : The first significant mention of Petra is in the Old Testament, as the prophet Moses approached Mount Edom after their forty years in the desert..Local legend says that it was in the hills just above Petra that God ordered Moses to produce water for his people by speaking to a rock (Exodus 17). When Moses instead struck the rock, the spring that gushed was Ain Mussa (Spring of Moses). This spring is today housed beneath a three white domes building at the eastern entrance to Petra. This is the first building you will see when you come from Amman or Aqaba on the right hand side . In our original location we have been welcoming tourists to this wonderful site for 29 years with staff that speaks English, French and German (apart from Arabic of course ).Mussa Spring Hotel is recommended by all major traveling guide books in different languages (Lonely Planet, Let's Go, Guide de Routard, Rough Guide, Frommer's, Michelin, ...)The hotel has 22 guest rooms (single, double, triple) all equipped with private western toilet and shower, satellite TV, movies (of course are 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' and 'Lawrence of Arabia' among the extensive selection), telephone, central heating and 24 hour hot water . It offers daily free shuttles to/from the gate at Petra (Ain Mussa).
Definitely visit here, social, very nice hospitality, keen to help and offered my bags be carried for me to the room. And called me down for tea! Right place to stay, clean, wholesome, and fairly priced.

We had a wonderful time at Farmer Stay Hostel. From the very moment we arrived, we felt at home thanks to our welcoming host. Ra’ed wants to make you feel comfortable and relaxed and offer you an amazing experience. He’s willing to give you a hand and share his tips at any time, or even teach you a few words in Arabic. On a different note, the guesthouse is located in a quiet area. The bedroom & kitchen were clean and well equipped. We were the only guests those days so we could benefit from the whole guesthouse. Let’s not forget the meals served by his wife which were delicious and generous! We highly recommend this place! Sophie

In its panoramic view, Valentine Inn overlooking to the mountain of the old city of Petra, with its 30 well equipped rooms, guests can enjoy sunset while lying on bed or outside in the Bedouin terrace while having cup of Bedouin herbal tea.
I don't know how this property considered to be a hotel, this is the worst stay I have ever stayed all my life, I made a reservation there the reception (mohammed) who was unprofessional person and does not treat with clients in a proper way specially because I am an Arab man, the room he had given to me was very very very small room and the bathroom is very small even I can't use the toilet because it was broken and there is no space for using it,( see the attached photos), I have wake up at six in the morning, and I was shocked that there was no hot water, and I was having a very important meeting and I have gone to it without having my shower ?, no body was at the reception only the agent was sleeping at the tiny lobby, the mattress in the bed was miserable and not comfortable at all, the blanket is very dirty. At the same day I have contacted the not good hotel to tell them that they make me upset, suddenly the lady who answered informed me that you have paid for the room only 15 jd ( they had justified to themselves that there is no hot water, and when I informed her that I want to write a bad review about the hotel she become very aggressive and she close the phone call without showing any respect. I really advise any body who looks for a better stay (never ever choose this bad, old, worse, and unprofessional bad employees). I am just sharing this bad experience because I never want any body to have this experience again and to avoid the fault that I had made by reserving in this hotel.

Our guest house is located in the village of Al Beydha, next to Little Petra. Our house has only 3 rooms with capacity 3-4 pax in each room. We have a living room with TV and dining room. One bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. You will feel like at home. The house is surrounding by mountains. While your staying with us you can visit Petra, Little Petra, Wadi Musa.
Despite having sent multiple messages in advance, we didn't get any relevant information about our stay. It took him hours to respond and he wasn't picking up when we called. Huge misunderstanding regardging their shuttle service and a lot of money and time wasted (since the hotel is outside Wadi Musa you will have to pay 10JD one way to get to the hostel). The first night we slept in a room where the sheets hadn't been changed (I found hairs on my pillow). The kitchen and the shared bathroom were dirty. Our luggage which the owner took inside was dusty and dirty as well. Then the next day they moved us to another house. The breakfast which was very basic costed us 5JD per person and it wasn't even served for us. We wasted time waiting until we realised we had to make it ourselves. When we arrived at night our room was freezing cold since the window was left open. The owner wasn't even there, he was in his cave and he ignored our messages. There was no heater we could use in the room, the people there let us use a heater from another room for half an hour so we were cold at night. We were very disappointed with the lack of communication and how Jo handled all this convincing us he had told us about everything before, which he didn't do. Next time inform your guests in advance what the stay includes and provide a second number in case they can't reach you and don't make people waste their previous time because every second counts!

Rafiki Hostel is a recently opened hostel with a refreshing concept; Rafiki’s built by young back-packers for fellow back-packers. We tried to put everything we fantasized about during our trips into one facility. We offer a variety of amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. We provide complimentary high-speed internet access. Here we know that location matters, a day started with an amazing view is a game changer. Isn’t that the whole point of roaming the earth? Therefore, Rafiki’s located 1.1 km from Petra; close enough to everything our guests would need, at the same time providing enough distance from the city’s noises. Thus guaranteeing a timeless dive into beautiful panoramas where Desert Mountains collide with sunset. We are also practical and we value comfort; our rooms are well groomed and equipped with private bathrooms, we provide breakfast, Dinner and tours according to our guest needs.
Staff very nice, unfortunately no hot water unless you ask for it ! 5.30am and I was told I should of looked for the guy in the kitchen to switch it on ? I didn't even know he was there! Furthermore why should I run around looking!! 4 of us in the room and water like ice at bedtime and wake up, even for hand washing, water freezing. Room cold. Location quite close to visitors centre.

Our Bed and Breakfast is an authentic Bedouin home with western upgrades for our guests comfort. We strive to find a balance between offering our guests the best aspects of the Bedouin hospitality, a genuine experience of the Bedouin culture and lifestyle while still providing the home comforts travelers of first world countries are accustom to. In our Bed and Breakfast, you get to enjoy the experience of safely living with the local people, being exposed to their customs and have a genuine cultural exchange of the typical Bedouin life. This is a local community, staying here is for people that want to have a local flavor as opposed to the typical tourists stay. From our location, you have easy access to the Main gate (5 min driving). the secondary entrance to the Main Roman Road (5 min walking) and the back Monastery Entrances (30 min Jeep). Siq Al-Barid, known locally as Little Petra which is the secondary less visited Petra site but equally remarkable with very few tourists is 10 min away. It is a lively community, you will be exposed to sounds and sights you are not necessarily accustom to in the city. The children play in the streets with anything they can make a toy out of, they will often greet you with a "Hello" to practice their English. In the morning, they walk past the house in their uniforms chatting away as they make their way to the local school just around the corner. You will see and hear donkeys, goats, chickens and other animals roaming around. The locals enjoy their Bedouin Music and listening to the Koran on their radios. You may also smell fresh bread cooking on the fire as the women start baking the bread in the early morning hours. In the Village, there are mini-markets, a falafel restaurant open until mid-day and small fast food restaurant in the evening. They all sell at the local price not the tourist prices of Wadi Musa. Wadi Musa however is easily accessible for any additional services you may need: restaurants, cafés, souvenirs shops, ATM, Money Exchange, Bus Station, Pharmacy,... Welcome to our Guest house
