タイミングが良くなかったのかもしれませんが。。。繁忙期でない割と暇そうでしたがゲストハウスの対応は微妙なものでした。驚きましたが、良い経験になりました。

Casa Noda is located in the heart of the city, along the port of Nagasaki. It was made in 2010 by an owner who loves the Amazon River. Sleep safe and sound in the gentle port city! We are conveniently located, only 20 steps away from Goto Machi Tram Stop. Here, you can ride the street car to other famous Nagasaki attractions such as Peace Park, The Atomic Bomb Museum, and Glover Garden. Only 5-minute walk from Ferry terminal for the Battleship-Island “GUNKAN-JIMA” and Goto Islands. Backpackers are welcome! You can enjoy shopping at Nagasaki’s two largest malls, dining while watching the sunset at Dejima Warf, experiencing the Dutch settlers’ lifestyle at the Dejima History Museum, or having a relaxing day at the seaside Mizube no Mori park. All of these activities are within a 5 minute walk from Casa Noda.
Stayed at twin bedroom, with Nagasaki port view. Very clean and location was accessible to tram stations. They provided simple breakfast and the lounge area was cozy, with many hand written info about Nagasaki for tourists to read. Can get discount with staff if going to Nagasaki Ropeway to see the top 3 night view from around the world. Pantry supplies were sufficient. One little thing, I wish they had lift instead of having the walk 3 flights of stairs with luggage.

Welcome to Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel Where breath taking view and warm hospitality await you!We invite you to enjoy our natural hot springs. Relax and have a good time! but I have to note here is not convenient place. 35min walking far from YUFUIN station. please find your best and carm time here instead of all uefulnes.
I've done a fair bit of traveling over the past ~6 years and I can say, without a doubt, that this was the best hostel I have ever stayed at! Although quite a long walk into the hills of Yufuin, everything about this hostel is fabulous. That walk I was talking about? Gorgeous. The town of Yufu itself is so-so, but the country side is incredible. Ryo and Tomo, the husband and wife owners of the hostel, have developed an environment of a family welcoming you into their home (which they are). The small onsen is a great refresher from a morning hiking Yufu Dakke, and if one wants a more luxurious onsen, there are plenty just down the road. I honestly cannot say enough good about this place and the owners. I will 100% be coming back to this hostel my next time traveling through Kyushu.

PROS: Owner herself is kind, room was large, nearby area has restaurants and grocery stores, 10m walk to a nice beach and closet for good sunset viewing, pick up and drop off at port CONS: Our room was not located in the original space, and this was not indicated on Booking.com nor by the owner...until we were asked to get in the car again to be driven over to a different building, few minutes away. Not a big to deal, but surely you'd evolution that or that we should walk back in the morning for b breakfast? Nothing mentioned. The room says it has a kitchen, and there is a burner, microwave, kettle. However, no plates at all, two plastic cups (for cold drinks, not hot) and no utensils other than chopsticks. Breakfast was said to be American, but included only a piece of toast, Japanese salad Japanese pickles, with a mini hot dog. No egg options, despite the pictures posted. As an American, there was nothing American about this breakfast. Also says you can use their shower after checkout..but actually they charge. Nominal amount (¥300), but when you've paid ¥21,000/night for a VERY average stay and unimpressive breakfast, you feel nickel and dimed to pay for the shower that's already supposedly included. Overall, staff was not friendly (owner is the exception - very sweet). They seemed annoyed to help us, nor very helpful nor tried. Of course, the language barrier is our fault, but a) i speak a little and used it, didn't help much, b) they could use a translator app, which is what we and other girls have done, as b) you're a lodging establishment in a touristy island, there will be foreigners once in a while. It was not worth the cost for the standard room and I wished we'd stayed elsewhere of having to pay those rates.

Agree with the other reviewers that it's well equipped and in a great central location. Yes it's a bit worn down, though it didn't bother me since everything was still clean and functional. Though when I was searching, it was easily the cheapest decent place for a private room (shared bath) in central Beppu - don't know how the prices compare for a dorm room though. There is a communal full kitchen so you can also cook. Staff hours are a bit weird - I think it was 8 to 10 am and 5 to 10 pm, though there are free lockers with locks to use, rather than just leaving your things on the side somewhere.

This hostel was clean, very comfortable and had a great atmosphere with it being a lot smaller than other hostels. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when we arrived a day early, they tried to help us find alternative accommodation, as they were fully booked for the night. Highly recommend a stay here while in Fukuoka.

Quite a long way from the bus and train stations. No kitchen to use. In house meals not good value plus hostel manager's kitchen looked a bit dirty. One shower which is locked until you ask for it to be unlocked.
