In the Land of the Rising Sun, ancient temples sit alongside neon wonderlands and shinto shrines offer pockets of peace amid metropolises. Add tea ceremonies, snow monkeys, sushi, kimonos, and karaoke to the mix, and you’ve got one of the world’s most fascinating countries.

It’s a really nice place to come with a group of 5+ people, you’ll pay less then ¥5000, and it’s really comfortable, you’ll also have a little view of Mount Fuji but not completely. People on the balcony are nice and they speak English. You’ll have to share a bath and toilet area but it’s clean and organized.

Excellent stay in modern upscale budget hotel in the heart of Gora. Outsized value and incredible staff. Pros: - Modern, clean, "upscale budget" hotel property in the heart of Gora (1 min from Gora Station). Very impressed with the quality of rooms for the price. Booked a twin room with private bath- and thought it was clean, comfortable, and very spacious by Japanese Budget hotel standards. Loved the unexpected Malin+Goetz amenities in the bathrooms and onsen! - Onsen was perfect for a relaxing bath after a day of hiking around Hakone. Currently limited to 6 persons due to COVID-19, but that was not an issue for an after-dinner soak. - Fantastic staff - despite the language barrier everyone here was incredibly friendly and personable. - Restaurant- very nice and reasonably priced morning breakfast buffet and good cocktails in the evening. Very friendly bar staff. Cons: - Strict check-in time (as is common in Japan). Despite arriving at 2pm, was not permitted to check-in until 3pm. Front desk happily watched my bags while I explored Hakone Gora Park in the meantime. - Long checkout wait. Had to wait approximately 20 minutes to checkout at 10am due to limited front desk staffing. I'm looking forward to staying here again!

Osaka Guesthouse Nest is born as the second hostel in our company. The name “nest”, comes from the words ‘next hive’ which means more advanced hostel than guesthouse hive. Thereby, we will support the guest’s trip as a cozy rest place. Our goal is to be a joyful ‘next hive’, a place where our guests will want to come back to

Located in peaceful location with rich green yet in the city. Easy to access to must see places such as Kinkakuji temple, Ryouanji temple, Bamboo forest, Movie village, etc. We promise you a wonderful stay with our heartwarming staff.
Been here once in 2015 during my solo trip. After staying here , I feel that I must bring my family here someday. And I did! My family of 5, 2 A and 3C aged 13,10&9 stayed in the Japanese style room from 09-11 June. It's off peak timing so not many ppl are staying here. We get to enjoy the peace and quiet. What's good abt this hostel ? Cleanliness is at its best. The shared bathroom, toilets areas are in top notch cleanliness. You can't find in other youth hostel. The communal onsen area is well maintained and clean. Everyone who use the area has the responsibility to keep it clean and tidy. And am glad that everyone is doing it well. Everyday between 10am to 3pm, u cannot stay in your room as the staff has to clean your room. Common area: kitchen and living area is shared and very cosy place for us to hang around. U can rent games like Uno, jenga from the front desk for free to play with your family. There is also an outdoor balcony area where u can just sit there and enjoy the breeze. The whole compound is at a residential area. So it's serene , peaceful and quiet. A very zen place. I was originally afraid that my kids who are city kids would be bored here... But they actually loved it. Especially making their own cup noodles dinner at the kitchen. There is no TV at the room we stayed , so we went to the kitchen area to watch TV and snack. Like all other YHA, u will be given bedsheets and pillowcase to make your bed and have to return them back to the front desk upon check out. The nearest JR station is abt 5-7mins drive away. It's so nice to come back again.

Most of what I can think of writing has already been covered in reviews by other guests. Yoko was a very helpful and knowledgable hostess. It’s in a very good location. The views are great. There’s a lot of space. There’s a hammock!

Hotel Toyo offers great value for travelers looking for a warm, friendly, inexpensive hotel in a convenient location for Osaka sightseeing. We're located in the center of the 'Minami' area of Osaka (Minami means south in Japanese). The location is also convenient for all your sightseeing in the Kansai region, including Kyoto, Nara, Kobe and Wakayama, making use of the 4 train lines available in the area. We are only 40min from Kansai Int'l Airport.
I stayed here for 2 months for this New Year and Chinese New Year period. The price for monthly plan is non refundable but cheap enough. (35000/m on the 5th floor) The place is too convenient to go anywhere around Kansai. You can go to Kyoto / Kobe / Ohtsu within an hour by normal train. And local food is cheaper and delicious. Moreover, the overseas guests are very “different” people from “normal Japanese” so you won’t be boring all while you are staying here.

A hostel run by a family with homemade healthy breakfast. Located in a quiet residential area 15 min walk from downtown Shinsaibashi. The good-for-shopping Horie and the urban oasis Utsubo park are within a waling distance. Good for a solo traveller, a couple, a group and a family with small kids. Hope you like our decoration with a lot of green. It was originally HOSTEL 64 Osaka.
This small B&B is less than 5 mins away from the subway which connects you with the rest of the city and major sites easily. Within walking distance of the B&B there are lots of little restaurants and shops. The staff took the time to explain what was nearby on their homemade map with their favourites marked on it. I chose a japanese room which was comfortable, clean & functional. Breakfast in the morning was good.

It's conveniently located, although a little difficult to find at the beginning. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The building is quite old but pretty clean. The owner has a very quiet and small dog.

Our hotel near by station, only 3 min by walk. We have some kinds free service, free wifi, rent bike, amenities which are towel, gown, slipper, and tooth brash, coffee and tea. There is no curfew. Japanese style big bath tub space or shower room.
PERFECT position, very friendly overall athmosphere , staff very helpful and English speaking and the Onsen is a sure benefit!! Although there are many people coming and going, common toilets and restrooms were never crowded and always clean! I wouldn't like to do too good recommendations because I would like to keep this nice hotel a little secret... ;)
