a wonderful service both the Hostel and the travel agency. They have a travel agency and their service is super comfortable. They always pick you up on time. I made the mistake of arriving 10 minutes after the pick-up time . those from the Yellow House (Brenda) and those from the Hotel Casa Sofía (Estu) delayed that the driver Chepin (Alfredo Jiménez), would like to leave me and the French traveler so if they tell you at 12:30, be punctual (10 minutes before, as Chepin emphasized) . I am also sure that he could have avoided the scolding as if we were small children and also that he will repeatedly remind us of the insufficient 400 dollars a month he receives in salary). again yellow house (Brenda) thank you for interceding so that they will wait for us and always ensure our safety and comfort. the breakfast buffet is delicious and super mega sincerely recommended in all of guatemala in the 3 weeks i spent in the country i did not find any buffet so deliciously prepared and with so much love. so well the cleanliness of the facilities is unbeatable. I am delighted. its services and atmosphere is ideal for solo travelers and those who enjoy connecting with locals. If you stay here you won't regret it at all.

Earth Lodge is a mountain lodge, yoga destination, restaurant and organic avocado farm located about 7km outside Antigua, Guatemala. We are known for our intimate setting, our amazing home cooked meals and our clean comfortable rooms. Perfect for nature lovers, Earth Lodge has one of the best views in Guatemala with 3 volcanoes visible in the valley below. Earth Lodge has a full restaurant and bar, serving breakfast and lunch from menus and a family style dinner each night. We are a family friendly establishment, with a full playground and field for children to play. There is ample hiking in the surrounding farm fields, plus a wide array of board games, books and movies to keep you entertained. We offer yoga classes most days in our brand new yoga studio!
It's hard to summarize just how awesome Earth Lodge is, but I will give it my best shot!! First of all...yes, it is not the easiest place to get to, but that's what makes it part of the adventure!! Earth Lodge is an eco friendly hotel that is situated on the side of a mountain so that means walking up and down a path to get there. Uber can be hit and miss, but they do have their own (paid) shuttle, which we never had a problem with. Because it's slightly isolated, that means that it is SUPER quiet and peaceful. The staff are amazingly friendly, the food is so fresh and delicious and the rooms are all different and comfortable. We kept extending our stay, so moved to 3 different rooms. And the yoga studio!!! Seriously the most amazing yoga space I have ever seen. Huge windows look out to the volcanos, and the birds are chirping during your morning classes!! We took several classes and loved every one. We saw that they also offer massages, but weren't able to organize a time, as the masseuse was always booked. We wished we could've stayed longer, but had a flight out and had to go!! The hotel was able to organize a Covid test for us so we could return home, and the lab worker came straight up to the lodge so we didn't have to waste time going down to Antigua. Definitey would recommend for nature lovers, and those that are looking for a different, chill experience.

Welcome to your hostel away from home. Designed and run by hotel professionals, we’re bringing you a luxury experience with a hostel price. We know details are important to you, and they are to us, too. That’s why we include a traditional Guatemalan breakfast, duvet comforters on each bed, and multiple hangout areas designed to be inviting and encourage interesting conversation. Eat, Drink, Stay!
My partner and I spent 5 nights at Maya Papaya and loved it! We booked our stay very last minute, as we had heard positive things about the place but it looked fully booked online. So we showed up at the reception and asked if they could somehow accommodate us for the week. The staff was super kind and made it happen - we had to change room three times but that was absolutely fine and a smooth process, simply moving our things from one room to the other. Having seen three different rooms (both with shared bathroom and ensuite) we loved all of them. Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, powerful hot shower, nice simple decor, quiet. The garden and cafe area are perfect to relax and chill in the sun or shade after visiting the city and to enjoy breakfast (one savoury and one sweet option to choose from - we loved the oatmeal with fruit, yogurt and macadamia nuts). The staff is super kind, all nice and friendly people who are happy to help with any logistics and planning you might need. Definitely recommend, and we would love to go back!

Casa Seibel is a colonial style house that offers the best comfort of a home away from home. We are two owners that are well informed about Xela that have the heart and desire to give you the best experience possible. We are located three blocks from central park and have everything close by that you may need to help with your stay.
This is the best hostel in Xela, everyone recommends it on the local pages and it deserves it! I have stayed many times during my travels in Guatemala (everyone seems to come back!) and its like coming home. The incredible staff go above and beyond, are super friendly, its very clean and with the hottest shower ive had in Guate! They help you with everything you need here. Its beautiful, tranquil and with the comfiest beds ever. Its also in a perfect location to reach all the tourist attractions and surrounded by restaurants, markets, bars etc. But inside the hostel is an oasis of calm as well. With great WiFi if you need to work.

Built by the edge of the lake Atitlan in the middle of a beautiful garden, Mikaso Hotel offers you 15 private rooms plus 2 dormitories. Hotel amenities include free wi-fi, common kitchen, pool table, concierge desk, meeting room and a restaurant with the nicest roof top terrace in town, giving you an incredible view of lake Atitlan and the Volcanoes. Our staff will be please to help you plan your excursions around San pedro & Lake Atitlan, whether it's hiking the volcanoes, kayaking on the Lake, learning about the mayan culture or just discovering the surroundings. Welcome to Mikaso Hotel y restaurante en San Pedro!
My spouse and I spent 9 days at the hotel. The receptionists are always encline to guide us, help organize activities in the area. The whole hotel is cleaned top to bottom every day, our room cleaned only when we needed. There’s a little kitchen where we can cook our own meals, or a restaurant on the third floor with a lot of options. We are used to have hot water in North America so the hot water tank system of the locals make us take a cold shower ?.

This hotel is a hidden jem, its 5-10Qs from Lake Atitlan and is a Japanese hotel with super cheap rooms, hostel accommodation for 50Q's and the cleanest hotel I've ever been in. I hope you can list it as it complies to your requirements and is so much cheaper then other Atitlan hotels
Yes this hotel is quiet and the owner is polite but it is a strange place and a bit grimy. It is super cheap so that is worth considering but i wouldn't stay here again. The walls in our bathroom were mouldy and the whole place is in desperate need for some updating. There is a lot of wasted potential, such as the huge roof terrace with great views but nothing up there except bare concrete and there is no other outside space except the enclosed driveway with a swinging chair in the corner. Also, in the lobby there is tea and coffee supplies for 1Q each but no way to make hot water, it doesn't make sense. It's also really far out and yes you can get a tuktuk for 5Q pp but we like to walk but it's a good 30 minute walk into town. Great if you are driving or are really not keen on going into town but i think there are better places for the same money.

Dont get me wrong I like most music. But the 'music' coming from this place isn't music. I describe it as a besrt rate monitor with bass. It's horrendous. 11am through to 2am the next day. The staff on reception are great, along with the kitchen and waiters. Plus the food is nice. The rest is rubbish to be honest, the rooms are hot and sweaty. You can hear every other room. The pool area is welcoming but once you hear the bass you want to run into the lake, which the entrance from the hotel is dirty. It has so much potential to be honest the music ruins a lot of it plus the entrance to the lake. Stay elsewhere unless you like bassy music.

What a truly amazing experience at Alice Guesthouse. Natalie, Dimitri and the rest of the team made me feel like part of the family. I would highly recommend Bungalow Amarillo for an incredible jungle view complete with howler and spider monkeys and toucans. I highly suggest staying a little longer to fully embrace the tranquility. I already cannot wait to return to Guatemala so I can stay here again

This past summer, I stayed at this hostel 3 separate times with large groups each time (one of them over 30 people) . The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. Rutt and her family are so helpful and make you feel at home! It is so close to the airport and very central to so many areas in Guatemala City. Our non-profit will definitely be looking forward to staying at Guatefriends in the future! Thank you for everything!

Came here on a backpacking trip and stayed in the shared dorms. It’s a very clean and welcoming environment. My friend and I didn’t even leave the hotel the whole time we were here because it’s so nice!
