I wasn't too sure when I booked my reservation, this was the first time I have ever stayed in a hostel. The place was clean, tidy and had all the facilities you would want. Lorena was amazing, being a stranger to this area, she gave me ideas on Where to go ? What to eat ? What to do ? Any problems that I had, nothing was too small or too trivial for her, I thought she was simply fantastic.

Pilgrims hostel, located in the camino de Santiago (French road) in the town of Sarria beside the river Sarria, health center, Malecon promenade, 50 metres from public swimming pools and 100 metres from the old town
We stayed here for 1 night, to begin our 113kms from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. Pluses: 1. Literally on the Camino- the entrance path to the hostal is also the Camino! 2. Excellent price point for a private double ensuite 3. Clean, quiet, secure 4. Lots of outlets 5. Fast, free wifi 6. Right on the edge of Old Town, and near the river 7. Very friendly & helpful owner Minuses: None. If you don't want to stay in dorms or albergues, this an excellent option.

I can't say enough about this albergue and the host Jose. Our group enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our camino an extra day so that we could stay another night. Thank you so much. Highly recommended!

Arriving in Sarria after having walked from St. Pied is no easy task when facing the crowd after weeks of almost solitude in comparison. Casa Don Albergue is a nice place, whereabouts you still Can feel that magic of pre-sarria Camino feeling. In a beautiful little garden you're able to enjoy the company of co-pilgrims, and the albergue has that size, whereabouts you're still able to feel a part of a family. Apart from that we had a nice room with four beds.

Benvido Monte do Gozo offers not only a wide variety of quality accommodation for pilgrims and tourists, but also a spacious leisure area consisting of large and well-tended green spaces, swiming pools, a modern beer house and a vast array of shops and services.
I'm just writing about the cafe/beer house as I have not stayed in the property itself. The cafe was fantastic...brilliant decor, so spacious, tasty food, lovely ambiance. There are great views from the cafe of the surrounding area and my friend and I commented to each other that in the summer it must be an amazing space for sitting outside, relaxing, in the sunshine. I would thoroughly recommend the cafe in the Benvido complex.

Hostal La Salle is located in Santiago de Compostela’s beautiful Old Town, just 8 minutes’ walk from the cathedral. It offers a 24-hour reception and rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV.The rooms at the La Salle feature tiled floors and simple, classic-style décor. Each one has a private bathroom with a hairdryer. The guest house has vending machines for snacks and drinks. There is a variety of good restaurants within a 10-minute walk. The La Salle is just 5 minutes’ walk from the university and Monte da Almáciga Park. You can drive to Santiago Airport in 15 minutes.
Stayed here after 5-1/2 weeks on el Camino. Just on the edge of the historic part of town, 5 to 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. About the same distance to the bus station. Comfortable size room with en-suite, good laundry with washing machine & dryer. Over 3 nights the linen or towels were not changed. Helpful staff with good English.

The Hostel was lovely, clean and very comfortable but the staff are the jewel of this place, Galician nature and hospitality at it's best. Nothing but friendliness, warmth and helpfullness, made it feel like coming home, which it kinda was as it's my mothers home town, where as a child I spent many summer's in la casa de mi Abuela. x

Wow, what a lovely reception from the very helpful hostess. We enjoyed a very large room and bathroom overlooking the countryside; spotlessly clean. There was kitchen access too. Thank you for our welcome pack, a nice touch. I have to say that my son had a bout of food poisoning (nothing to do with this property but a dodgy restaurant in town) . Consequently he was unable to checkout early and was allowed to stay in the room. The wonderful host even looked after him and, later in the day drove him to our next stopover; what service and I can’t thank you enough. Just to add: we booked massages in the room; excellent value and much needed.

Small hostel very familiar, situated in the ancient zone of the town, near shoping centres, very quiet place, wifi free, bar, breakfast simple incluided.tv in the room, with bathroom in all.near boats harbour.the beach are 5 km from hotel.
The hotel is located very centrally near cafés and restaurants overlooking a lovely town square with a little old church, very picturesque. Our room was painted a bright and cheery colour and someone had made a big effort to make it cosy, but it was very tiny with hardly room to move around the bed. There was a small but very clean ensuite with bath, shower and toilet. We were briefly met by our host who gave us a key and then left. Unfortunately the little pub downstairs was not open the day we stayed, so we felt very confined and isolated in our small room with no common area to enjoy or socialise, or make a drink etc. At night returning to our room the light and wifi weren't working and we had no way of contacting anyone to get it fixed. Didn't have the same friendly feel as some of our other homestays had and we didn't feel overly welcome.
