Serenely spiritual Dharamsala is home to the largest Tibetan temple outside of Tibet. It’s known for its religious iconography and is the monastery of the Dalai Lama, who holds public lectures a few times a year. Once you’ve restored your spiritual energy, enjoy a picturesque stroll to Bhagsu Waterfall or climb the hill to Triund to bask in stunning views of the Himalayas.

Adorned with vivacious and vivid flags imprinted with holy chants, you can feel a rush of positivity and a gleaming happiness in the breeze of McLeodganj. In the lap of the magnificent Dhauladhar Range of mountains, there awaits Moustache Hostel at a perfect location with a cafe and rooftop for Yoga and a scintillating view.
So I decided to travel solo this time to Mcleodganj. I stayed for about 3 days in the moustache hostel. It was a very beautiful experience. Sidharth and Mohit are one of the best hosts I have ever come across. I would recommend people to visit this hostel as the vibes of this place are pretty amazing. Food is delicious and all thanks to Steve who is the chef there. Mohit clicks great pictures so make sure you get one clicked by him?

First of all the location: You literally have to climb up a considerable amount of distance with all the luggage with you to reach the destination. It is very very tiring and you will definitely be stopping 3-4 times in order to reach the main entrance. The road is in very bad condition and you cannot just drag your luggage while climbing the hill. You have to carry your luggage up with you and they won't provide any assistance even though you are willing to pay for it. Check-in: Even though we were supposed to check in at 1 p.m but we got late and did our check-in at 8 p.m. Even after being so late, our rooms were not ready. We booked a whole dorm and the guy at the reception asked us to wait and there was luggage of someone else. When I told him, that we will be locking our doors as we do not trust other travelers, the guy got furious and started being rude. Not a good experience. I would suggest that you shouldn't pre-book the rooms. Instead, when you arrive in Mcleodganj, you will get plenty of amazing options in the main market itself.

Zostel Mcleod, our cosy backpacker hostel is tucked in a scenic, peaceful corner of Dharamkot with stunning mountain views & a great cafe. While initially famous for being the residence of Dalai Lama, Mcleodganj has long been synonymous with the backpacking culture of India. Fondly known as Little Lhasa because of the large Tibetan settlement here, Dharamkot is famous for housing cafes offering the most delicious dishes from around the world and the views of the mighty Dhauladhars. Besides the Dalai Lama temple and museum, you can spend a peaceful time in Bhagsu and Dharamkot villages. In Dharamkot, Zostel is about 3 Km from the Mclow Square. Majestic views of the valley would be an understatement!
I had my splendid diner in the Cafe near by Zoslel. On the way back some gangster try to ride me over on the bike. The inocent traveler got attaked by the owner of Zostel. He stated that this is his land and not an Europe. Decide for yourself if you would like to stay in a place of like this.

We booked one room with breakfast and dinner for two days. Room was spacious with some basic amenities. The worst part is their breakfast and dinner. While booking it is nowhere written that breakfast and dinner is not a buffet. The hotel staff told us that in breakfast u have to choose from Paratha, sandwich and omelette and that is only one item and only once that means u can't have more than one. At dinner also they said u will get fixed veg thali with one dal and sabzi and rice chapati. First we ordered one thali and to our surprise the Dal was like an old one and not eatable at all. So I request them to give me a non veg snack instead of my dinner thali for which they charge extra. Next day also we did the same and got one snack by paying extra. MMT should take care of that and clearly specify in the booking that what will be offered in the booking. We feel like we're cheated.

Tibet World Hostel is centrally located in McLeod Ganj, only a 10 minute walk to the bus stop and 5 minutes from the main square. The hostel overlooks incredible views of the valley and is surrounded by numerous cafes, restaurants and shops. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, clean laminate floors and free WIFI. A communal rooftop balcony is available for you to sit back, relax and enjoy views.
The staff here is really helpful and supportive. The ambiance is very community oriented and people who stay here are friendly. The owner's wife is Taiwanese and cooks really nice food in the Cafe. Also, the rooms are really pleasant and have a beautiful view, as does the terrace below. There are nice paths for walking in the valley below the Tibet World. Thank you for a lovely stay,
