Cornwall is the extreme southwestern peninsula of England. It has the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain and it is one of the sunniest areas in the UK. With picturesque villages, Celtic ruins, light blue waters, gardens and parks and unique architecture it certainly is among the most scenic areas of England. Home of many events and festivals and the land of Cornish pasty, it is definitely worth visiting.

Here at Treyarnon Bay we offer a relaxed youth hostel experience with a beach-side pub feel. We are currently offering meals from 10am until 8:30pm seven days a week and our bar is open from 10am until 10:30pm offering Cornish ale, lager and cider on tap.We are literally a stone’s throw from one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall and are very proud to support our local community. We also offer group breaks and young people’s activity holidays, as well as business and corporate breaks and functions. We have plenty of parking and field we use for camping or wedding activities.Looking forward to seeing you
We camped at YHA Treyarnon, with friends who stayed in one of the bell tents. Having not stayed at a YHA site before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The location is amazing ... overlooking Treyarnon Bay. The set up at the site was great, with a limit on bookings that allows a big play area in the middle of the field and you don't feel on top of other guests at all. The staff at Treyarnon really made the holiday for us, including a waiter called Jake who stepped in to provide musical entertainment when the booked act didn't show. It made my 6 year old's holiday as it was his birthday that day and to have the whole site singing happy birthday to him was just magical. The facilities are clean in the main, with toilets suffering occasionally with number of users. Self catering facilities are excellent and there was never a problem using what I wanted. A great stay with perfect hosts.

If you love spectacular coastal walks, secluded beaches and exhilarating windsurfing, head for this Victorian country house with panoramic sea views - perfect for a cheap family holiday or weekend break. If you're looking for activity breaks, there are plenty of opportunities for walking holidays, cycling and adventure-seekers in this uncrowded part of Cornwall.
The hostel is in a gorgeous location, really easy to find and stumble down to the pub after a long day's walk! Everything was immaculately cleaned and we had a great night's sleep - just what we needed

A lovely spot in a steep-sided valley on the rugged north Cornwall coast, this National Trust-owned rural retreat is on the harbour edge. Here, on your Cornish coast break, you can sit and watch this pretty, bustling fishing village come to life during the day and return to a sleepier pace in the evenings. For a more energetic activity break, you’ll also find excellent surfing and sailing plus miles of coastal footpaths to explore - great for walking holidays. It's self-catering only here, but you can get to know the locals in the nearby pubs while sampling some tasty Cornish food and local ales.
Wonderful location, near the harbour and with suberb access to coastal paths. Our family room was clean and spacious with a view to the harbour. Boscastle itself was beautiful and interesting. From our accommodation we had a choice of ice-cream shops, cafes and other eateries. My children loved the nearby rock / gem shop and we were intrigued by the witchcraft museum, which was also only a broomstick hop away from the hostel.

Had a great stay here, 20 minute walk into town, easy access to coastal path We went into town for dinner, and explored the coast paths during the day Covid protocols were a little OTT, but to be frank it better to err on the side of caution Definitely recommended

Service second to none! Can't find more attentive staff other than at the Four Seasons Hotel, New York! En route, Jenny kept us informed with our room details so no undue stress was caused. Before arrival, Jenny provided the best place to park for our stay, which is always a panic but especially would have been on Jubilee weekend if wasn't for her. On arrival, Jenny was so welcoming; giving us a tour of our rooms, showing the facilities and bending over backwards to make a last minute room change. Critical knowledge of local board hire and directions around town was spot on. Evening entertainment, no problem for Jenny, she provided the places to avoid, the times to move from pub to bar to club to have the greatest night. Even hosted a night out for us showing the local ways, even getting us a locals discount. It was like having a personal representative for our holiday. Going the extra mile seemed effortless for Jenny, a fallen holiday maker meant she offered to arrange food and keep conversation with our friend that couldn't make it out of the accomodation with us. Accomodation as expected; clean and comfortable, just what you need for a surfing holiday. Negatives, curtains need to be changed for blackout ones. The quality of the bunkbeds needs upgrading. More for safety reasons if adults are to stay on them. Sound proofing would be ideal as we could hear the shared toilet flushing from our room, amoung other noises... Overall, would stay there again. Thanks for a great holiday. Josh and the Essex lads.

Blue Reef Lodge is brand new, super relaxing, comfy and stylish. It is absolutely perfect for a surf getaway, or even just a break by the sea. Blue Reef Lodge has a very advantageous position, because it is in the heart of Newquay. Great Western Beach, Towan Beach and Tolcarne Beach with various bars & restaurants, shops and supermarkets is a 1 minute walk from it. The Blue Reef Aquarium, right by Towan beach, is well worth a visit. At low tide you can walk all the way across the beach to the traditional Cornish harbour, where you can find an excellent crab sandwich or ice cream. The most famous Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay is 1 miles from the property. Newquay railway station and coach station are both within a 5 minute walk from the accommodation. Blue Reef is only 4 miles from Newquay Airport and Newquay Zoo is 0.8 miles away. Blue Reef Lodge offers a variety of rooms, including dormitories and private rooms. Free wi-fi, TV, bed linen, towels, and tea/coffee in the room are all
Never have I stayed at such a badly run vile hole. No parking, no reception staff, food was half cooked giving me an upset tummy & attitude of some of the staff was much to be desired!! STAY WELL CLEAR!!!!! .... TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!

We have just stayed at Breakers and it was wonderful! Matt and Sarah were so welcoming and helped us out with some local events that were going on whilst we were staying in Newquay. The room itself was clean, cosy as well as modern. The bed and pillows were one of the comfiest we have experienced throughout a variety of stays in the UK. We also had a great sea view from the room. The location was perfect with the beach and town being in walking distance. Fred was also a lovely host! Without a doubt we would stay here again. Thank you!

Having been an avid youth hosteller for many years I have decided to now use independent hostels due to the way the YHA has changed over the year’s. There is nothing negative I can say about my stay the staff were polite and friendly and everywhere was spotlessly clean and the best thing was the lovely friendly atmosphere that the staff created 10/10 Loved it See you again Kevster ??

Otherwise consider booking a spot on the Gorran Community bus, running weekdays.
One of my favourite hostels in the Southwest! I love the surroundings and the remote feeling of the location..Hemmick beach and the nearby coves feel rugged and quite magical. The hostel is cosy and very well-kept, the hostel staff very friendly and personable.
