Accommodation in bright dormitories with bunk beds and a single and double rooms, for groups we are not set up. Please note: Considering the external guests it is mandatory that outside the changing areas the facility is used undressed.
Very relaxing hostel
Reviewed By Jimbob GI stayed 2 nights in the 9 bed dorm. It was a lovely comfortable bed and the mattress was perfect for my bad back. The room was sufficiently airy with open windows which secured a good nights sleep. The hostel is a 10 minuets walk from shops and bar etc. The hostel itself serves only vegetarian options. In the building itself they serve local beers for €2 per bottle which I enjoyed very much. The showers are indeed unisex containing approx 8 cubicles HOWEVER they are sufficiently private as each stall (apart from two stalls) have fully enclosed doors maintaining shy guests dignity. The optional spa is further through a door from the shower room and is “without clothes” and contains an outside pool and 2 saunas , a steam room and a couple of rainfall style showers. The entire area is within a natural setting and a very pleasant experience as nobody is judging anyone as everyone there is in the same state (undressed) . The staff were extremely helpful and made suggestions on local area activities etc and also there is a FREE bike rental service station at the entrance to the property allowing ease of exploration around the local area. Fully recommended and fantastic value for money.

Reviewed By amillieeeeeI’ve stayed in my fair share of hostels, and this one was far from the top of my list. Staff at check in were very friendly and spoke perfect English. Small charge for bed linens which I thought was weird as who travels with bed sheets? I had a single room and it was very clean, bigger bed than I expected. Bathrooms were clean as well. Bed was hard and not comfortable and there is no breakfast option. Great location close to the city center. Very loud at night and quiet hours were not observed. At checkout three other guests and I had to wait fifteen minutes while the hostel staff made coffee. I was on a tight schedule to check out on time and this was very annoying. Location wise it’s the best for your money.

Moderne saubere hergerichtete Zimmer mit sehr schönem Ausblick besonders der Gartenblick. Feines Frühstück mit Auswahl kombinierbar was man möchte. Das kleine Hotel liegt nahe der Innenstadt Gundelfingen und hat alles was es braucht. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und empfehlen es gerne weiter. Vielen lieben Dank, kommen bald wieder vorbei. Fairy Tale Castle
Reviewed By 33traveler2010The Ortenberg castle looks like it was right out of a fairy tale. We enjoyed walking around the castle and I'm very glad that we stopped to see it. I was pleasantly surprised that you can climb up the tower, visit the roof garden and all the way up to the top of the castle for free.

Reviewed By gauss1We have stayed for 3 nights during new year eve. Very convenient for families and the dinner was just amazing. The cook also made a great vegan dishes for us. I have been to many youth hostel but never got such a great dinner. In short, if you are there do not eat dinner elsewhere. You get a lot value for your money. We also liked the Pforzheim itself. Very nice. I hope we will come back to this place soon.

Reviewed By ERIK SI celebrated my 50th birthday here with 70plus guests and was the perfect place to accomodate all guests. Team of Mrs. Waldvogel is super friendly and willing to assist in all occuring issues. It hosts a huge sports facility where children and company feel well.

Our pension is located in the industrial area Freiburg-Hochdorf, very close to the center and directly on the A5. We offer clean and comfortably furnished single and multi-bed rooms on 3 floors, ideal as a room for workers. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, bathroom with shower and toilet. A separate kitchen or cooking facilities in the rooms. In the laundry room several washing machines are available for free use. Parking is plentiful at the inn and along the road. Also within a few meters there are stops for public transport.

Only Hostel in Town!
Reviewed By Mathew BWhen I entered the hostel, I found that they were full but they'd see if they could squeeze me in. I ended up with the entire town floor to myself in the attic. I don't know what happened to being full. The guy on the reception that I needed to pay for my stay was very unfriendly, stand offish and almost hostel. When asking a simple question about a discount that I know about he repeated the price 3 times, each time getting louder. I only required a simple answer. After checking out I wanted to leave my luggage locked up somewhere. The guy on the reception said they had a room. He opened the laundry room up and told me to my stuff in there. He said it would be locked up. After leaving my stuff, I told the man on the reception that he could lock up the room. When I returned hours later the room was still open. I simply walked in and collected my stuff without being seen and left. I was lucky that no one walked in a talk my stuff so simply. The only good point about this hostel was that the rooms and bathrooms were very clean.
