According to famed diver Jacques Cousteau, the Great Blue Hole of Belize is one of the most spectacular dive sites on earth. The crystal-clear sapphire waters are home to colorful tropical fish and several species of reef sharks – ideal for brave divers who love to get up close and personal with sea life. On dry ground, diverse rainforests, mangrove swamps, and Mayan ruins are perfect for exploration. The beaches of Belize are sunny and tranquil spots for a day of relaxation.

Very nice place and staff , Hailey the Boss Lady is excellent . I stayed in a private queen and was bigger than a lot of hotel rooms . The whole property was always clean and quiet , but you had a automatic alarm clock thanks to some nearby roosters LoL . There was a dog that barked during the day a bit but was always quiet at night . I will stay here again next time I'm in town .

Bella's is a large wooden family-run house, clean, safe place to stay on the water with beautiful sunsets and free canoes for the guests adventuring pleasure. We have kitchen, cable TV, internet, tour bookings, fishing trips, and other Belize information, as well as refreshments and nice people. Rooms, private cabanas, one apartment, camping, and small dorm sleeps 7, private/shared bath. It would be our pleasure to show you some sweet Belizean hospitality.
Stayed in the peak room and it had amazing air flow for the hot weather in Caye Caulker. Great activities to be apart of if you want to just hang at the hostel but guarantee you’ll be spending time in a hammock for hours! No shortage of bathrooms/showers like some hostels so don’t worry about not getting to one when you need to.

Bella's Backpackers hostel has both private w/private bath and semi private with shared bath. The dorms are a mix of semi-private connecting rooms with three to five beds per room. We have a centralized kitchen and social areas with comfy chill-out couch, hammocks, chairs, and a BBQ grill for your use. High speed wifi, nice people, communal dinners sometimes, hostel outings sometimes are offered. We have tour recommendations and courtesy bookings are possible. We are your base for your adventures while in San Ignacio with information about the rest of Belize.
We booked a room with private bathroom, that was available on their website. The girl at check-in was friendly and helpful and first impression of the hostel was good. But when we entered our room we were less impressed. The lights (switches for them?) didn't work (it was possible to use one light by (un)plugging it from/to the socket), fan was broken and the room was dirty (and generally in a bad state) - not so the bed, but the walls were full of stains. Through a door we saw the nicer looking dorm and we decided to change the room and stay in the dorm (luckily it wasn't ful). It was quite basic (bed not especially comfortable), but it was OK (and in the end we were alone in one of the dorm rooms). Bathroom and toilet were actually quite nice. The best part of the hostel is for sure the open air rooftop terrace to enjoy a beer or hang out with folks. WiFi worked well. The location is good, close to shops and the main square and bus station.

Super nice hotel, the owner is also super friendly, always willing to help and also showing interest in the guests. Free water + best wifi we’ve seen in mid America. Big 5 stars from us for this price! (We stayed for 4 nights)

Established in 2020, Yellow Belly Backpackers was created by backpackers for backpackers and we pride ourselves on being a social, friendly, and comfortable place to stay. Located only minutes from downtown, overlooking the rolling hills of San Ignacio, we welcome you to grab a drink and settle in. Our friendly staff is here to answer your questions, help you book tours, and guide you during your stay. Whether you want to share a Belikin beer (or three) with new friends or simply relax after a long day of adventures, you can do it in comfort.
We stayed at Yellow Belly Backpackers with a university group. We essentially rented out the entire building for a very reasonable rate for three-nights. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The students loved the common area to chill out, listen to music, and do homework. Bubbles and Jess (brother/sister team) were attentive to our needs. Same-day laundry services were available on premises and most of our students took advantage of it. The only downside is the location away from Burns Ave (the pedestrian touristy area). It took approximately 20-minutes to walk from Yellow Belly to downtown San Ignacio. The walk was a straight-line downhill, but coming back was a bit of a challenge (highly recommend a cab which have reasonable rates). The students also appreciated the strong wi-fi connection.

The Funky Dodo has secure, roofed parking inside our compound, and an overnight security guard!
I stayed at the Funky Dodo with 6 of my friends in their dormitory rooms (8 beds in a room), and we had a great time. One of the owners, Roy, is definitely a character but is a great host. He gave all my friends and I towels for free and gave great recommendations for things to do in Hopkins. I didn’t catch the name of the other owner, but she was very sweet and kind. What I thought made the hostel so nice was the mix of people staying there. While our group was at Funky Dodo, there was a Swiss dude, a Portuguese girl, a British girl, two Dutch guys, a few French guys, and some other Americans. It was cool to see and talk to all people from different countries.

Hidden Haven Eco Cabanas in Jungle Set in 15 acres of beautiful and tranquil Mayan jungle, the secluded Hidden Haven Belize offers a range of holiday cabanas . We are located only a quarter of a mile from the Western Highway where buses and taxis pass frequently. We offer breakfast daily, and now have a restaurant and bar on site. All rooms come with free Wifi, ample charging points, room fans and personal lockable cabinets. We also offer air conditioning in three of our cabanas! Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and big groups. We are a little off the beaten track and you certainly are compensated for this by the quiet, and beautiful peaceful sounds of the jungle at night. Hidden Haven is a good base for those wanting to explore Belize. We'd be delighted to assist guests with booking and organizing eco-activities, Mayan ruins site visits, and various other adventure activities that Belize is famous for. We also have a newly built salt water pool 40 ft by 20 ft.
A nice, private, pretty location not far of the highway. Easy to fine with good signage. The family running the place is very nice and offered lots of good tips for area activities. There is a nice pool and bar/restaurant on site. Meals were available on request. I stayed in one the private cabins. Wifi was excellent. The cabin was equipped with a kitchenette and A/C. It had a good shower and comfortable bed. You do get noise from the highway, but this peters out by 8:00pm. There are many dogs in the neighborhood and some nights there was a lot of barking through the night. The location is excellent for exploring the area. Tours will pick one up right at Hidden Haven. I would stay here again.
