Amman's layered history is reflected in its diverse people and its varied architecture. The city is home to a multidenominational and multicultural population. Even within the midst of the ultra-modern commercial center, there is evidence of its ancient roots, with colorful souks, Roman ruins, cultural museums and monuments painting a picture of the history of the region.

A historical hotel since 1963 that has been fully renovated in 2017 to include both private Rooms and shared dormitories. The Sydney Hotel is the best place for backpackers and budget travelers that are seeking a memorable and safe stay in Amman away from the noise but minutes on foot to all major touristic site, local restaurants and shops such as the Romain Theater, Citadel, Hashem Restaurants and the famous Rainbow street. The hotel provide a smoke free environment which is hard to find in Amman, 24 hour assistance, tours and packages, free high speed WIFI, a spacious communal area where you can meet other travelers and a cozy backyard area. Most rooms have private bathrooms, flat screens with satellite channels, minibar and self controlled A/C system... The rooms with balconies are the best.
I stayed a week in Amman and used it as a base to travel the north of the country. I sleeped in the dorm of the hostel. I have to say this is an 10/10 hostel. It has everything a backpacker need and plus the workers are super helpful and friendly. Breakfast is delicius. Location is perfect. And is also very quiet. If I will return to Amman one day, I definetely choose this hostel. Thanks for your support and precious advices

The hotel has an excellent location (close to Rainbow Street and the Citadel), rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable and there is hot water in the shower. Also, the room was cleaned every day and they refilled everyday with water, coffee, tea. Delicious breakfast was served on the rooftop with an amazing view. I recommend!

The Wanderers Hostel, is a youth run hostel that is driven by the love and passion of travelling and the art of hospitality. This Hostel is the result of years of travelling to 30+ countries and countless accommodation experiences, all filtered out to provide travellers with the adequate station for their adventures around the lively city of Amman.
My experience here being great would be an understatement. From the beginning, the staff makes you feel extremely welcomed and make you the priority. With everything going on with Covid-19, there were still lots of programs like yoga and boxing offered and made sure everyone can be involved, of course while practicing all the safety guidelines. All of the leisure areas were continuously cleaned and kept in great condition. The location is also ideal if you wish to go travel and sightsee this beautiful country. This hostel is in the mix of it all! All in all, one of the best hostels I’ve been to for sure.

I had a nice stay at the Sun Rise hostel. Very welcoming family owned business. They organize cheap tours all over Jordan. They also have accommodation in several places. Also excellent value for money.

Once upon a time there was an old Arabic school; it has been renovated and redecorated to become, the Monsour Hostel a backpackers paradise in downtown Amman. Under new management, there is a completely new outlook of understanding and focus that has been missing in Amman; a home away from home for the most important tourist visiting Jordan-the backpacker. This is the place where you can hang your hat, put your feet up and exchange stories with other travelers you will meet while you sip Arabic tea and coffee.
The place isn't a five star hotel, could fix the water system in the bathrooms but I loved these local struggles and funky owner with the good portion of humour ! I appreciate the easy going people and healthy communication I experienced there :)
