During the winter, Jackson Hole is a wonderland of snow skiing, snowmobiling and ice-skating. Summer in Jackson Hole is all about hiking, whitewater rafting, golfing and horseback riding. When you come down off the slopes, you can choose from recreation options like dog sled tours, sleigh rides and wildlife and nature tours. During the summer, you better get your energy level up because kayaking, hang gliding, hot air ballooning, mountain biking and stagecoach rides are just a few of the many options available. For climbers, hikers and nature lovers, the nearby Grand Teton National Park is an absolute nirvana. The towering mountains of the Teton Range stretch 40 miles, and include eight mountains over 12,000 feet. Keep in mind, too, that Yellowstone National Park’s South Entrance is only 90 minutes away, and another 45 minutes or so to reach Old Faithful. If you’re looking for some serious, fast-paced family fun in Jackson Hole, try the Alpine Slide, where you slide down 2,500 feet of Snow King Mountain in a bobsled. For a calmer experience, enjoy the Bridger Gondola, which takes tram riders from the Teton Village to heights of 10,000 feet. Golf enthusiasts have access to some great golf with tee opportunities at Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design and Teton Pines Resort Golf Course, designed by Arnold Palmer.

We booked a sleigh ride with dinner afterward. The entire operation is family run - 100 horses on about 100 acres. Cody explained how they train the draft horses, why they feed the elk, what to anticipate during the sleigh ride, and pointed out his personal horses. very informative and great scenery, too! Afterward, we were treated to salad, a truly massive perfectly grilled T-bone steak, and chocolate chip cookie. The entire family stopped by our table during the evening to chat and answer questions. Would do it again!

By far one of the best experiences! We were in the area on a girls trip, made plans to take the class at Intro to Rodeo and had a fantastic time. It's such a beautiful location, and the horses were so amazing! Kara was super patient with us and taught us some new skills that we'd never experienced before. She is an awesome teacher and helped us feel comfortable around the horses. Before we knew it, our new skills had us riding, racing, roping and herding. The whole two-hour activity is organized and extremely well structured. The time just flew by! Highly recommend this activity for anyone visiting the area. Thanks Kara for such a fun day!

Willow Creek Horseback Rides offers 2 Hour, 2 1/2 Hour Breakfast and Lunch Rides 1/2 Day, Full Day, and Full Day with Fishing Horseback Rides. Come experience the breathtaking mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming on horseback. Our trails are remote and the views are breathtaking.
Our family of four (kids ages 11 and 13) did the lunch ride today. Our wrangler, Maddie, did a great job making sure our equipment was safe and we were comfortable. She was very nice and was happy to answer our constant questions. The trail ride starts in a wooded area and then climbs to a ridge. You feel like you are on top of the world. Beautiful mountain terrain and great photo ops. Tetons can be seen in the far, far distance. Lunch was simple and good - consisted of a lunch meat sandwich, chips, apple, 2 chocolate chip cookies, water bottle and celery/carrots to eat or share with your horse. Note that this is not a ranch. There are some horse trailers, a coral and some port-a-potties at the site, but no actual building. We all enjoyed the ride very much!

Shane Scott agreed to an unusual request from me to deliver my husband's remains to a Jackson gravesite during a Celebration of Life gathering. Larry was born in Jackson, worked as a cowboy growing up there, and was a horseman the rest of his life. His boots containing the ashes were carried in the stirrups of a riderless horse led by Shane. It was a very special sendoff. We'd ridden with JHTR in the past on a specially arranged group ride where the horses were trailered to the area we wanted. Covid-19 has complicated life, but just give this outfit a call and see what they can do.

We had an excellent experience with A-OK. We visited with 4 adults and 6 kids ranging in age from 6-16. 2 of us did the 1-hour ride because of the 6 year old and the rest of us did the 2-hour ride. Beautiful views and a great ride in trails up and down the mountain. Good picture opportunities! Slim really took care of us and made sure everyone was comfortable and had a good time. He is a real cowboy that loves what he does.

Horseback Riding: From a two hour ride to a full day, experience the majestic beauty of Bridger-Teton National Forest with amazing views of Grand Teton National Park. Heart 6 can handle large groups as well as small private events.
Looking for a convenient and efficient way to both float the Snake and horseback ride? Then we highly recommend booking the Combo float/horseback ride at the Heart 6. It is a short 30-45 minute scenic drive from Jackson, then you can park the car once and embark on both outstanding trips right from the ranch. Including us, 6 people started around 9 am on the float trip that winds directly in front of the majestic Tetons, with views from every angle. There are many great photo ops on this trip. While we did not see wildlife, we saw many birds (eagles and ospreys) and learned many archeological facts about the river and mountains. The float trip including travel time was about 3 hours and our guide was FANTASTIC! After a good lunch at the ranch, we walked to the corral for our 130 pm trail ride up the mountain for more spectacular views of the Tetons. The wranglers were also top notch with both who accompanied us on the trail being very experienced horsewomen. We set our own pace as luckily no one else joined us for this ride. That must be an anomaly as on return to the barn a group of about 20 was preparing to ride. The trail ride was about 2 hours, so there was still plenty of time to get back to Jackson and shower before dinner. I think if we tried to float/ride any other place it would take 2 days to do it because of the wasted time driving from place to place. Again, this was a terrific way to do both!

My father and I went on a two hour ride and it was wonderful!! Our guide Andrea Was very friendly and we all got along great! It was a Beautiful day and on our way we saw lots of wildlife. I think this place is great for all ages and levels. I, being used to ranch’s babying me for how small I am, was shocked to experience no crap! The first thing I noticed was the compassion our guide and the ranch workers had towards horses and animals. I found the horses were in great loving care, and were given everything they needed, including love. I would, and have recommended this place ALOT!! And all those bad reviews that say crap about the conditions of the horses, don’t know what they are talking about, and need to actually look into things. And, as another guide once told me, “horses will be horses.” Meaning they will bolt and buck.
