This is a little known museum, with spectacualr displays and unusual themes. The juxtapositioning of unrelated objectsmakes it particularly interesting. Well worth a detour

We booked a tour with Trapani Emotions and were pleased that we did! Our tour group was split in two once we reached the museum and we each had a tour guide one speaking in English the other in Italian. The tour of the museum is extremely informative and provides you with a good insight of what it was/is like to work on the salt pans. We had an opportunity to taste infused salts and make purchases. The walk around the salt pans as the sun was setting was magical followed by an aperitivo and snack at the restaurant/bar strategically located to take in the view from the setting sun before heading back to Trapani. Lots of photo opportunities so make sure your phone/camera is charged.
