The Museum presents 3500 objects of the beginning of the XXth century. An exhibition of 1300 m².
This private museum is a real find! A fantastic collection of objects and machines from 1850-1960, domestic, agricultural and industrial, (including an amazing collection of real fire-engines), it offers an intriguing insight into how past generations lived, with something for all ages! Well organised, friendly and informative. Don't miss it when you come to Uzes! If taking the children to Haribo, give them a dose of culture too!

Home of a young Toulouse Lautrec it is a beautiful building with a great collection of his art. There are also items of local history and a beautiful garden with views over the river.

We had a great time and enjoyed the glovemaking exhibition. There was a special graphic art exhibition on when we visited on one of the free Patrimoine days. The lower exhibition rooms were devoted to the early days of Millau with some stunning displays of fossilised dinosaurs and ichthyosaurs.

An exceptional estate in the heart of its vineyard, surrounded by a hundred years old garden, the Château de Raissac invites you to a unique place in Languedoc. Located just outside Béziers, this wine estate has been the Viennet family’s passion since 1828.The Chateau offers beautiful bedrooms and a creative Mediterranean cuisine as well as reception rooms for private events or seminars.Art is also important. Christine Viennet has founded a Ceramic Museum in the beautiful old stables and Jean Viennet’s amazing paintings in the Chateau. The energy and enthusiasm of the place will charm you.

Really enjoyed this visit.OK you might say it’s just a school and you would be correct at that but it’s a walk back in time to see what a French school looked and felt like way back. A really interesting little museum very quaint and quite a bit of history to it in relation to world war 2. Well worth a visit

The museum Saint-Raymond, preserves and enhances an archaeological site that is among the largest in France.Push its doors to discover the Roman town of Tolosa, the sculptures of the villa Chiragan, the remains of a necropolis from late antiquity.
Close to Saint-Sernin Basilica you’ll notice this brick-built medieval building. The collection organized on three floors shows many sarcophagus in the basement from the antiquity to the Christian Era. The first floor is fully dedicated to the artefacts found in a villae from Martres-Tolosane (50 km South of Toulouse) and the second floor gives an overview of pre-Roman and Roman period, until the establishment of the Wisigoth kingdom. This kingdom (418-507) is the topic of a wonderful temporary exhibition. 8€ for the exhibition and the permanent collection.

In more than 1,000m² of floorspace, the Museum of Lodeve offers you three trails - three dizzying, playful and moving journeys, for both children and adults. The "Traces of Life" circuit recounts the story of the Earth since the explosion of life 540 million years ago. The "Man's Footprints" circuit tells you about Prehistory with humour and poetry. The "Sculpting Lives" circuit invites you into the eccentric world of the sculptor Paul Dardé.
Once again this little musee punching above it,s weight. The late impressionists exhibition is magnificent, a wonderful selection of paintings and artists from the period plus a brilliant film on the artist ( Le Sidaner), one of the leaders of the movement

Lourdes is said to be the place where heaven touches the earth. Whilst the Sanctuary for Christian pilgrims represents heaven, this medieval castle symbolizes the earth walking in its botanical garden, dwelling in the intimate museum of the Pyrenees, or visiting the Notre Dame du Chateau (where the original tabernacle of St. Bernadette's Church can be admired and the original cross of Jesus and the statues of St. Peter and Paul) is just a celebration for the eyes as they notice stunning views on the beautiful town of Lourdes, the churches & cathedrals, the Sanctuary along the river Gave, and the majestic snow-covered mountains the local staff doesn't speak much English (hey this is no Chicago), but quite friendly and fairly customer-oriented (not money minded at all), and the General Manager who I believe has a background in the history of fine arts often organizes sublime exhibitions on Lourdes and the Pyrenees for master Rodin aficionados, there is a sanguine drawing from the sculpture August Rodin tucked in the exhibition room right from the majestic tower. Enjoy your visit in this must see historical monument on your journey toward eternity!
