The historical and ethnographical museum-reserve “Shushenskoye” is the only memorial open air complex in the Krasnoyarsk territory. The central part of the old village Shushenskoye of the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries is represented on the territory of the museum. Also the exact copies of the monuments of wooden architecture of the northern and southern parts of the Krasnoyarsk territory are reconstructed. Altogether 35 peasants’ houses with outbuildings are represented. In the houses where V.I.Lenin lived during his term of exile the memorial setting has been kept and conditions of Siberian peasants’ life have been recreated on the farmsteads. The main peasants’ occupations , crafts and trades are reflected in the exposition. The museum offers general and special excursions, different demonstrations of the traditional folk culture: crafts, folklore, traditions and customs for the visitors.
