I took the 4 day tour with Edison in May. It was my mom and I’s first time to Ecuador and we never would have been able to see so much without this tour. Everything in Ecuador is truly incredible and on this tour you could see all the best sights in a short time. Our guide, Edison, and our driver Diego made the tour even more enjoyable as they were super fun to be around and incredibly knowledgeable of their country. They have great pride in their country and it’s obvious they love what they do. The tour has got something for everyone. I love active things and there were plenty of opportunities to challenge myself with hiking and adrenaline actives like cable cars and swings over cliffs. My mom loves learning about the culture and we got the opportunity to visit plenty of markets and learn about the natives of Ecuador. Edison really listens to you and makes sure you know that this tour is for you, they really work to make sure you enjoy their country. I’m normally never a “tour” person, I like to backpack. But I loved this experience and would recommend it to anyone looking to experience Ecuador in a short amount of time.

We had a great day trip from Quito to Cotopaxi with our guide Daniel. He picked us up from our hotel on time at 8am and drove expertly to Cotopaxi taking a scenery road which allowed us to appreciate the geography of the inter-valley region. The drive took about 1.5 hours. His approach takes you around the volcanoes from all angles. Daniel was truly passionate about Ecuador and very knowledgeable about wildlife and vegetation of the region. He stopped plenty of times for awesome picture opportunities. We hiked from the parking lot (15K ft) to the refuge (16K ft) doing the zig-zag approach and experienced no issues with altitude sickness whatsoever (he stopped by a kiosko where we could buy coca candy and leaves if needed before entering the park). The weather was awful as we ascended, with small hail and dust from the strong winds, but he was patient and set the pace perfectly for us to successfully reach the refuge. We grabbed hot chocolate up in the refuge (2.5 per cup, bring change) and warmed up before going back down. On our way back to Quito, we stopped by an authentic local restaurant around 3pm where we had a soup, a pork dish, and an ice cream. Back to the hotel by 5pm promptly. This is a great experience for a Quito escapade which you should consider if you're looking to do something based off the city.
You will live new tourist experiences in the middle of the world, lagoons, extreme sports, flora and fauna, train ride, Ruins, all in one tour.

See many landscapes on the Avenue of the Volcanoes. Little by little, you will discover different cultures and customs. Our eyes will be attracted by extensive plantations of barley, potatoes, turnips, oats and maybe on the way you will dare to savor a delicious and exotic dish like the guinea pig. After arrival, the lagoon with soul of princess will give you the welcome to start a special connection with the nature. Baños is a city to admire because it´s full of waterfalls, forests, ecological trails, cultural and adventure activities. Visitors are always happy after visiting this city that is located 191km from the city of Quito. Your adrenaline will flow when you go from one side to another one over rivers either by ziplining or in tarabita (cable car). If you dare, in a short time you will be under one of the 8 most beautiful waterfalls in the world. The crystalline waterfalls will purify your soul and desire you to stay on this place forever.

My young daughters, wife, and I spent a day visiting the Bucay waterfalls - we had such a great time. The private guide, Wilson, knew the landscape to perfection and talked us through the many hidden aspects of the terrain. For us who are not expert trekkers, this was most welcome as we always felt perfectly safe. The place is extraordinary - you experience sunlight, mist, cloudforest, rivers, cascades, in just a few hours. At the end of the trek, Wilson took as to see a mill for cane extraction and then we had a tasteful lunch. I plan to go again soon for rafting or maybe i will muster the courage for canyoning - the place calls you to experience. Just Great.
