We had a great experience in Egypt with our guides Mohammed in Cairo, and Rocky (Ragab) in Aswan and Luxor. Both were very knowledgeable in ancient Egyptian history, and modern culture. They spoke great English and answered any questions we had. I would definitely recommend them, along with Explore Plus to anyone interested in seeing the real Egypt.

Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Amazing experience, I can only recomende to everyone. Liberty ship staff were absolutely friendly and very kind to us in every our wish. Ship itself is very good compromise of price and level of acomoditation. Perfect to see the Nile and all the important monuments around. Cruise is very good option for your first Nile experience which definitely open your heard to need of another visit. Our guide Mr. Alaa is very nice, helpful, friendly and donnish man . He hepl us such with everything on the journey and his guiding was fun and interesting! Many thanks to him for friendship and persistent contact. Company provided for us personal driver from and back to resort in Marsa-Alam with new clean car and friendly english speaking drivers. Last thanks to Liberty ship manager for mediation of everything. Thank you for nice 4 days!

This was an unforgettable trip! It is a jam-packed trip with so many sites & activities, yet it also manages to offer relaxation while you cruise down the Nile in-between stops. Heba is incredibly attentive although there were a few changes about departure times/locations. She went out of her way to make it special for us (I was celebrating graduation & my friend his birthday!). She frequently checked in on us via WhatsApp to make sure everything was going smoothly. We loved our guide Ahmed (be sure to request him!!). His way of presenting information is super effective and I feel like I’m walking away from this trip with waaaaay more insight & education than I have ever had on any other trip. We really appreciated him. Overall the boat was nice and I loved the rooftop deck & pool. The food is ok but it’s fine for what it is and the staff is attentive. So happy & grateful for this experience!

This was my first time in Egypt and it was phenomenal. We had a good guide called Fatima who explained everything well, and she was very funny and friendly. She explained things in a way that you could tell that she loves her work. She put her whole heart into helping us throughout the trip. She did not only tell us what happened at the temples or monuments, she also helped us get other things. (Like snacks and souvenirs) She is really an interesting person, and she does not make you bored at all. I really loved the company that us helped do this trip, they gave us wonderful hotels, and the places we went to see were very interesting.

My friend and I had one day to visit Luxor and chose Marsa Alam Tours. The good price, reviews, and private tour first attracted us, and the service really exceeded expectations. We booked the tour the day before, and they were fantastic with reaching out quickly to coordinate all the details. Both our driver, Amr, and our guide, Mohammed, were very knowledgeable and friendly and worked with us to tailor the experience to what we most wanted to see (Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, and the Alabaster shop were my faves). Mohammed even helped us avoid pushy souvenir shop workers and with haggling when we did find stuff we wanted to avoid the tourist up-charge (although all souvenir shops along the way are extremely overpriced). I would highly recommend them for those looking for a more personalized tour!

OK, as other reviewers have pointed out, the technology is a bit out of date... but seeing the pyramids and the sphinx lit up in different hues was really haunting. We were freezing the night we were there but it was still so worth it... a very haunting experience. Tip for seating--DO buy the VIP tickets--they're just about $3 more than the regular ticket and are SO worth it. Get there a half hour before the performance and sit in the FIRST row as far right as you can for the best view. And, in the first row, your view won't be encumbered by people snapping photos with their iPhones!
