I’ve been using Rio’s services for years and wouldn’t consider using any other driver. He will collect you from the airport and deliver you safely to your hotel. Rio has a happy and friendly disposition and can be relied upon to provide best prices and the most in-depth information. As a local, Rio is always happy to answer questions and while driving to your destination, provide cultural information with his amazing English. He’s a fantastic source for the best excursions at the best price.

Our trip started with a cancellation and then a no show which added to the journey time. Once out of Cebu City the roads are terrible so it was a very uncomfortable 2 hours. We arrived to chaos and frankly given how crowded you are on the boat as well in the water, it is simply not worth it. Too many people in the water vying for their video or picture. The Whale Sharks were delightful but only for a half hour. The waterfall was the same, crowded and uninspiring. The trip back took 5 hours as traffic was awful. I don't recommend this at all. I know people have to make money and they are all very nice but it simply isn't worth it.

The driver/guide should have at least a rudimentary knowledge of the places visited. As it was billed as a "City Tour" some information about Purto Princesa would have been nice. To be periodically informed of ones location during the tour would have also been helpful. Other than the Cathedral and the US Marines Massacre Site all other places were for private enterprises such as horse riding/ zipline ride, bakery etc. I accept Palawan is developing its Tourist Industry but needs to do better than the take it or leave it attitude one meets as standard here.
Experience the magic of Iwahig Firefly Watching. Magical Nights with Fireflies for Nature Lovers We’ve all been told stories of glowing fireflies by our parents and grandparents, who made games out of catching them during their childhood years, and watching out for them at night during their youth. Sadly, for most of us, these stories remain in their memories as the increasing number of brightly lit skyscrapers and waning number of trees have rendered these special creatures nearly extinct in urban areas. In some places however, their magic remains, and numerous tourists are willing to travel just to experience what it is like to dance with flying lights in the dark.

The private transfer from the hotel arrived on time. The van was clean and the driver was polite, Our guide was also very entertaining and helpful. It was convenient and we did appreciate the fact that we had the whole van for ourselves. On the way to the Underground River, we dropped by Buenavista view deck which had a lovely panoramic view of Ulugan Bay. We also had a private boat transfer from the port to the Underground River National Park where we joined other tourists for the 45-min paddle boat ride to the Underground River. The guided paddle boat takes you across the underground river. For around 45 minutes, you get to explore the deep, vast & dark cave, and witness unique rock formations. From stalagmites and stalactites shaped in different unique and entertaining forms- it was indeed an experience. The tour included an expert (and hilarious) guide who navigated us inside plus an audio guide (you can choose in different languages). This tour is a must for a Palawan trip.
