Tripoli is the second largest city in Lebanon. The Beautiful city combines the ancient and the modern. Our objective is the old souks in the heart of the city. Small shops of all kind. Craftsmen, traditional pastries, fishermen, dressmakers, carpenters, painters and a number of artificial artistes gathering in a 500 years old open air market trying to sell their products. Uptown is the Crusades fortress . All civilizations and armies seized this strategic spot to control the city and its surroundings. The sweets palace dates back to 1881 when a family of talented Chefs decided to start a big sweet factory in the city. It is not only Baklava but a wide variety of tastes and pastry arts displayed in front of you for your savor and your personal palate… the Chef is there and happy to explain about every single flavor. An average ride to this small lovely Phoenician city of Batroun; the tourist’s street is such a lovely place as well as the old Phoenician wall defenses and port.

The village of Besharre in the North of the country. 95 minutes from Beirut. Here comes the village square, 15 minutes later up in the mountains rises the Cedars forest… A 2000 year’s old cedar tree in the middle of multiple souvenirs kiosks covers the main street! “Cedrus Libani” (Cedar tree of Lebanon) is the symbol of Lebanon. Much information, details, myths and beliefs as your Guide escort you during this lovely walk… Our next stop is the Gebran Khalil Gebran gallery. Who is he? Is “the Prophet” his nickname? How many books he wrote and how many languages were translated to? Is his famous book still a best seller? His paintings, what do you think of them? All this and much more inside this humble old monastery converted into a nice gallery half curved in a giant rocky mountain… The Kadisha valley or the “Sacred Valley” Wonderful views, water cascades (in spring) and many curved shapes. A 14th century hermitage. Quiet observance required…

Our first stop is the Cedars of God forest, where you will get to walk among the majestic and iconic Lebanon cedar trees. Then we will go to Bsharre to visit the Gibran Museum, a former monastery that is the final resting place of the Lebanese poet, philosopher and artist Kahlil Gibran, and now houses his artwork and other belongings. Our last stop for the day is the convent of St Anthony of Kozhaya, one of the many monasteries built in the valley. It is built partly inside the mountain and partly outside, and is surrounded by a very beautiful panorama of forest, rocky cliffs and valley

I thoroughly enjoyed the cooking classes I had with Robin. They were a lockdown birthday present from my Husband. Fantastic gift idea! Robin was very kind, pleasant, and extremely flexible! I am pregnant and cannot stay on my feet for very long. Robin was kind enough to split the cooking class in two separate lessons. The food was excellent and my husband and I had a lot of fun learning about Lebanon and the country's culinary delights! I highly recommend this experience!
