What a beautiful place to stay! Bakke has everything you need if you want to enjoy nature and escape the busy city life. The traditional Japanese guesthouse is located on the countryside near Sendai and Tome, between trees, flower fields and a river. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a traditional table heater and four beautiful tatami rooms. The hot shower is excellent. The nearby house has even a little museum to show and explain local farmer's life. You can just relax and chill at the house, or take a bicycle and explore the area. We went to the village, the local temples and shrines and hiked up Mount Kogaisan. I would definitively recommend it for every nature lover. I will come back for sure!

It is incredible that there is a beautiful little gelateria in Marumori which is a small town south of Sendai. The ice cream itself is very good and not too expensive. The gelateria is small but decorated with love and it has the vine “feels like home” :)
