Far East Russia is a world apart from the country’s west – almost literally, lying thousands of miles and many time zones away from it. A huge area with rugged mountains and spectacular Pacific Ocean coastline, Far East Russia borders China and North Korea on its south and nearly touches the United States to the northeast. Cities like Vladivostok and Khabarovsk are here, but the glorious natural wonders (like the volcanoes and national parks of the Kamchatka Peninsula) are what draw many.

Individual walking tour in Vladivostok for a group of 1-3 people. Together with an English-speaking guide you will walk along the Central Square of Vladivostok, visit the Ship embankment, a memorial to soldiers who died in the Second World War with the Eternal Fire and the chapel. Further we pass to the railway and sea stations. Vladivostok is the only city in Russia where these two stations stand side by side. The maritime station stands on the shore of the Golden Horn. It is to him moored cruise ocean liners "Princess" bringing thousands of tourists from all over the world.

I’d wondered in off the streets after reading just one legit looking TA review on something unrelated. They weren’t pushy, so I sat down. I’m glad it worked out! I could do basic russian, so they informed me about a russian speaking group tour to a mountain. It worked out to a reasonable RUB2400 (similar to what we paid to climb Batur in Bali). The lady was helpful in giving me the instructions in English beforehand so I could understand what their guide/instructor Rodion was saying during the trip. Everything was done professionally: timings were adhered to, and headcount were frequent. other tourists were happy to translate essential info too (like the names of beetles and plants). I’ll probably try their other tours if I come back.

This is the tour to the Island Russky that is situated in the Peter the Great’s Bay in the Japanese See is the southern point of Vladivostok. Island "Russky" is a fully militarised zone for most of the past 150 years, this big island just offshore has been reinvented as a business and academic centre and is home to the sprawling Far Eastern Federal University campus and the new Oceanarium. There's great tourism potential here, not least for some excellent beaches as you go deeper and deeper into the island and away from the city, but at the moment Russky Island is very much a DIY attraction. The tour gives a possibility to see the ground fortress’ features as well as underground quarters and casemates. You will be also impressed by fantastic landscapes and the view to the city from the boat. • Guaranteed skip-the-line entrance
