Daniella is fantastic. She put together a great trip that hit the highlights of the Yucatan around Merida in the few days that I had -- Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and the protected wetlands at Celestun. Consistently excellent recommendations for hotels, restaurants, knowledgeable guide for the Maya ruins, and they were extremely helpful with the travel disruptions and changing plans caused by the coronavirus situation. Daniella is always accessible and every aspect of these tours can be personalized to your liking. This trip was too short, I would love to come back to Merida and I would certainly hire Yucatan Concierge again to help arrange the trip.

Erhard's professionalism was evident from first contact. He replied quickly and designed an itinerary that perfectly suited my interests. In 6 days we covered 1,000 miles and (owing to Erhard's excellent planning) had plenty of time at every destination: Chichen Itza, beautiful colonial cities, great local food, the jungle ruins at Calakmul, and much more, all expertly explained by Erhard. I cannot imagine a better traveling companion and feel that I now have a friend in Mexico. Very highly recommended!

The name of BÉCAL is possibly the Castilianization of the Mayan word BEL-KAH, that is to say "Path that leads to the people". However, there is another version that defends the origin of Bécal from the word BEL-HA, which in Spanish means "Way of water", since according to comments from the old settlers, there was a stream of water that crossed the center of the town, -in what is currently the subsoil of the Municipal Palace-, being stored in a small cenote. As time went on, the water mantle was reduced until it completely disappeared, then, the name of the village becomes BEL-CAN, "Camino de culebras". When the Spaniards arrived in these Mayan lands, they changed the phonetic and prosodic sense of many populations, which is why BEL-CAN is transformed into Bécal, the name by which it is known today.

We booked this tour on a Tuesday and were supposed to be picked up on Thursday at 1 PM. A mere 15 MINUTES before we were supposed to be picked up we received an email saying our tour guide had cancelled. We never received an explanation for the cancellation and were very upset.

I dealt with Pepe for the reservation piece and he was very professional. I traveled with a party of 7 family members. We decided to go with private tours to go at our own pace and have the flexibility of customizing. We took a private tour to Chichen Itza one day and a private tour to Coba and Tulum another day. Manuel was our guide and Jose was the driver and both a pleasure to have. Manuel was extremely knowledgeable.

It was a great experience to travel 3 days though Yucatan with Tzamn, the owner of Mextisoul... I really recommend to book a trip! It‘s worth the money! I was/am very satisfied! Would definitely book again when next time in Yucatan!???? (btw. I was travelling there in May 2019, but could not select that)
