Our guide, Ava, was delightful! She was very passionate about the region, soil, and the wine. We knew very little about Burgundy, but left feeling comfortable enough to pick out the proper wine in any store! She went over the different terroirs and made frequent use of maps to highlight different plots and ratings. The lunch and tastings were splendid!

We are travelling from Australia and have previously visited other countries prior to to France which had amazing service and friendlyness. However 5minutes in France we found them to be rude 10minutes in and they were pushing us, 30minutes and pickpocketed. My advice when you get off the train is get back on and try a different country. Try Ireland, England or even Amsterdam. We are counting down the minutes to get out of this thieving, smelly, rude, dirty country Cheers

Dijon was the home of the Dukes of Burgundy and a place of power from the 11th to the late 15th century. From this period, the city has kept many architectural styles and historical monuments like Capetian, Gothic and Renaissance. Today, Dijon is a city famous for its delicious mustard and its old town. In this tour, you will walk by the historical heart of Dijon, home of many incredible buildings like the Porte Guillaume, Rue de la Liberté, Place de la Libération, Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne and Eglise St-Michel. You will even have the chance to touch the lucky owl statue on the side of the amazing Eglise de Notre-Dame!

Martin Luther is NOT the same historical figure as MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr. Germany is not the same nation as the US. Martin Luther was the great GERMAN reformer of the 1500s. Martin Luther King Jr. was the great civil rights American reformer of the 1960s. I keep trying to help this organization, but they don't seem to worry about trivia like historical facts.

We had booked a trip with alexia Papin specifically to visit vineyards in Beaune area as we own a vineyard in Coghills creek Victoria Australia. The places she took us to were amazingly helpful & did not hold back on explaining every aspect of growing grapes, maintaining their vines to achieve the best results & the process they go through in producing wine. Alexia’s interaction with the wineries showed how highly they regarded her. Also on our tour we were taken to the many interesting sites in Beaune.

I had a wonderful time on the one day bike tour. Many thanks to Theo for sharing his knowledge of the region and its wines. Lunch in Montrachet was delicious. We stopped for wine tastings en route at 2 contrasting domaines - it was good to experience the difference. The view of the vineyards from a bike was truly memorable!

Best food AND service EVER at the Peacock restaurant!!! Ryder attended to our every need with courtesy. I appreciated his attention without being a nuisance and was on hand whenever we had questions about Prescott, the Inn, music, events, etc. I so enjoyed the old historical charm and details throughout the Inn, rooms, restaurant, bar, lounge, and even window settees for taking in the views, just sitting for a short read, or you if don’t want to be in the room. I’ve added pics for your viewing.
Roughly 150km southeast of Paris, this one-day tour takes you to the heart of the unspoilt Puisaye region of northern Burgundy. Situated between 2 major lines of communication, the Loire to the west and the river Yonne to the east, the Puisaye is a secretive place where time seems to stand still. This very rural area, made up of forests, lakes and fields bordered by hedgerows, also offers the visitor a host of cultural and historical sites. Your trip with us will be a voyage of discovery that will lead you in the footsteps of writers, potters and medieval craftsman. The excursion will take you to visit a local pottery, the Colette museum, as well as a local church to admire the medieval paintings. Certain days are market days (St Sauveur Wednesday and Toucy Saturday). We also propose options such as a visit to a local natural wine maker! We can pick you up from your accommodation in the area or from the local train station. Please enquire for other possibilities.
Inclusions: Transport in 8 passenger minivan, Pick up & drop off from designated places, Visit to a pottery, Visit to admire medieval paintings, Driving tour to explore the Puisaye, A visit to a local natural wine maker
Exclusions: Lunch in local restaurant (20/30€), Return train tickets Paris-Joigny
I would highly recommend this tour. Nick did a wonderful job of selecting the best wineries in the area for tastings and an education on French wines. Each wine maker shared the winery’s history and a bit on their wine making process. We started in the quaint town of Auxerre and made our way to the lovely town of Tonnerre with an excellent lunch on the way. The wine was great-easy to purchase along the way. Very manageable trip from Paris by train.
