Designated the capital city of Kazakhstan in the late 1990s, Astana boasts a landscape glittering with new architecture and construction projects as the government infrastructure continues to be built. Old and new quarters of the city are divided by the Ishim River, with older, Soviet era structures on the north side while the governmental quarter and monuments like the monolithic Bayerek Tower spread out to the south. The central Avenue of the Republic is a hub of entertainment and business.

I travelled to Nur-sultan AKA Astana for a short business trip and had a few hours to kill before my flight so contacted this company to see if they can arrange a tour for me. It was short notice but they arranged the tour and the drop off to airport. My guide was Kamilla - young lady who is passionate to introduce her country and an ambassador representing the hospitality of Kazakhstan. I enjoyed my half day tour and highly recommend their service.

I just want to say thank you to ACT for organizing an interesting, comfortable, convenience day trip for me to Burabai, hosted by the brilliant Genghis and our excellent driver Serge. I had one day to go sightseeing outside of Nur-Sultan and this package perfectly aligned with my schedule. Genghis was warm and friendly from the moment he picked me up at our meeting point. Serge whisked us away in a very comfortable and clean car to Burabai. I learned so much during my conversation with Genghis, got to see the awesome natural beauty of the magical green Burabai forest in the middle of the steppe, and made it home in time for a delicious dinner at a restaurant recommended by Genghis and Serge. The day wouldn't have been complete without picking up a delicious jar of honey at a roadside farmer's market. Thank you Genghis and Serge for an amazing day! Kate Liebelt
Who said that East is East, West is West, and these two cannot be together? Take 3-hour tour of Nur-Sultan to disprove this statement! The youngest capital in the world and pride of modern Kazakhstan - is the city of unique symbiosis of east and west traditions, modernity and history, riskiness and rationality.

The modern palaces of the capital are something like a poetic note, flashing among the prosaic infrastructure of Nur-Sultan. You will know the palaces, serving to different aims such as running official state events, forums, congresses as well as holding the University of Arts; all these are gathered in one architectural complex called “The Square of Independence” where you will see the symbol of freedom – the “Kazakh Yeli” (Kazakh Nation) Monument. Moving along the new direction of Nur-Sultan, you will see magnificence of modern constructions under the dome the independent sky, your tour will end with a walk in the President Park.

It was a nice experience. We got a good impression of this young and beautifull capital of Kazakhstan. We was attending a concert of the kazzkh biggest star Dimash - unique singer.
Nur-Sultan is the symbiosis of past and future in present, it is the city where any person has his own vision and opinion on Nur-Sultan. You may find that the capital is a glass city from future, consisting of unusual buildings tailored by the foreign architects – it is the Pyramid, as well as “Khan Shatyr”, which author is Sir Norman Foster; it is the heritage of the EXPO exhibition, the theme was “Future Energy”. The bird Samruk seems to protect the “Independence Square”; sitting on the top of “Kazakh Yeli” Monument, it guards peace and independence and if you just let yourselves day-dream, you could imagine that the bird is flying over the “Palace of Peace and Reconciliation” and taking a rest at the pond in the President’s Park. The “Independence Square” and “Nurzhol” Boulevard are connected by the bridges over the Yesil (Ishim) River, they prolong the “Millennium Axis” in which conventional centre the main monument of the country “Bayterek” is located.

Everyone says that Nur-Sultan is a new city. But what about unforgotten traces of the past, the spirit remained in the streets of the city? Pre-revolutionary houses of the local merchants, soviet buildings of the workers operating in frame of Virgin land campaign – the spirit of the past still presents in air of the city. But if you cross a bridge to the left embankment of the city, you feel that the past is left behind the “glass”, and you plunge into expanses of new sense of the modern architecture. And if we say that the right embankment of Nur-Sultan is a history and building of the capital, then the left embankment is an oasis of new ideas and their implementation. During the tour you will learn about the main attractions of the capital, its history and future prospects. You will have a journey to the old centre of the capital, a square with its palaces, a boulevard of future as well as the heritage of EXPO-2017.

Nur-Sultan has different directions to develop, this city as a living body undergo transformation each of spiritual and physical. The capital is mottled by elements of a new breath, therefore this comes as no surprise that the buildings created by Norman Foster take their own places. More glass, more air and more pieces for peace in the world – the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation particularly created for the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The Pyramid is understood as earnest of future peace for further global development, and moreover, it is earnest of continuity of heritage, preserved in “Nazarbayev Centre” – the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the building of which reminds the “All-Seeing Eye”, seeing everything beyond. You may feel that Sir Norman Foster deals with administrative building only, but in fact, his talent covers all aspects, so you won’t miss an opportunity to have a look to “Khan Shatyr” Entertainment Complex.

As a first step, we would like to offer to visit one of the main palaces of the capital – it is the “Youth Palace”, where you will be offered to see variety of extracurricular activities for supplementary education for children; moreover, here you will lift the veil and you will see “Planetarium”, attendance of which will tell you about planets, the stars across expanses of the infinite Universe. “Youth Palace” is a platform for implementation of children’s dream, it is a place where children go to their future step by step, and future is a place where something incredible must be for any child. Flying cars? Robots? School trips to Mars? Steps into future are made – you will visit world’s only Museum of Future “The Heritage of EXPO-2017” and you will witness something incredible, you will see how the planet is moving towards future – and who makes the planet go round? Of course, children do, since “all grown-ups were once children”.

The left embankment is the symbol of innovation, new intentions, embodied in unusual architectural trends. Nur-Sultan, rising from nowhere, will burst upon your eyes showing its modern futuristic image. The shard of glass shining on boundless expanses of the steppe, shaped by the recognized architects, this is the image of the capital of a new epoch. During the tour you will walk through “Nurzhol” Boulevard that combined chastity ‘of administrative buildings’ style with abstruseness of the architectural objects. You will start your walking from the main Presidential Palace of the country “Akorda” and will end at the unique building “Khan Shatyr”, which author is Sir Norman Foster, more of it, you will see the main monument “Bayterek” soaring up in the conventional centre of the Boulevard which contains shadows of forgotten myths about the world structure as the symbol of forward-looking spirit. You will witness paradoxical symbiosis taken as a basis for the capital’s plan.
