Essential site, if you ever want to properly understand Roman culture and greater society. Form the house of the Important man, who was owned by the empire and very important to the ancient town, to the Specially constructed walls, I was overwhelmed. All I could bring myself to do was cry in that moment. The recent “rasterations” have greatly modernised the site for 21st century tourism and allow future generations to visit this soon to be world heritage site. My cohort and I were amazed by the stone walls, which were in remarkable condition. To our astonishment NO GLUE WAS USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION! You couldn’t even fit a piece of paper between the interlocking blocks! The excellence of this site was only enhanced by our tour guide Anita and I believe that this is essential if you are to fully understand the site. She was a wellspring of knowledge and I look forward to my second visit, as I couldn’t take in everything in one day.

The church is very plain compared to a lot of others. Entrance fee is about 3 € and its worth to see on the way up inclouding the big bell. I would recommend and will visit again next time.
