A stroll around the castle moat will take you to a collection of rather old houses, done in the early style but updated for convenience. Several are now tea houses or soba noodle shops, all set in very pleasant surroundings.

The samurai residence consists of a main house, a nagayamon gate, and so on, and conveys the Edo period to this day. In the residence where Shiomi Kobei, who is said to have originated from Shiomimi Nawate's name, also lived there, and around 500 to 1,000 stones were replaced by a residence change.
In the charming traditional streets in front of the castle you will find this great samourai house. Very interesting to understand the daily life samourai.
