its one of the biggest tourist destination in the jodhpur city also the biggest fort in rajasthan after the jaipur amer fort Like any other forts this fort is also quite huge & massive You will get elephant & other animal ride to roam inside the fort you also have an eating joint inside the fort which serves decent snacks & refreshments. the view from the fort is quite beautiful & impressive You can experience the so called blue city of india which is mind blowing Overall its not take you more than 3-4 hrs to complete the entire fort Also they have some adventure stuff to do inside the fort

While inside the Fort, one come accross several private rooms of the royal family..this Phool mahal is the most beautiful till date undoubtedly.. Phool Mahal (Flower Palace) is one of the most opulent and eminent period rooms in the Mehrangarh Fort. Visitors come here to catch a glimpse of the extravagant lifestyle of the erstwhile rulers. Built by Maharaja Abhaya Singh in the 18th century, it served as a pleasure room for female dancers during his reign. This room is beautifully decorated with its ceiling boasting of rich filigree of gold - plundered from Gujarat after the king's triumph over Sarbuland Khan, a Mughal Governor. At present, the room comprises a rare collection of paintings, royal portraits and the famous raga mala paintings.

While entering the fort and have the ticket..few step forward bring one to this gate//the audio guide pit stop#2.. a Royal Entrance..jai pole.. Jai Pol meaning, the 'gate of victory was constructed by Maharaja Man Singh, the King of Marwar in 1806 to celebrate the triumph of Marwar over the arch rival kingdoms of Jaipur and Bikaner. Located at a distance of about 5 km from Jodhpur city, it is one of the historic structure and the most famous of the seven gates present in the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. Marks made by cannon balls during old battle are still visible on the walls near the gate. Jai Pol is a landmark, which speaks of Jodhpur's action-packed history. Owing to its significance and traditional architecture, the gateway is a suitable backdrop for clicking some beautiful snapshots. A part of the historical Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Jai Pol is a massive gateway, constructed as a victory memorial. This gate is one of the seven entrances of the impressive citadel that is set atop a hillock. Maharaja Man Singh, the former king of Marwar, built this gate in 1806. The reason behind the construction of this gate was commemorating the triumph of Marwar against rival dynasties of Bikaner and Jaipur. Incorporating elements of traditional Rajasthani architecture, this imposing structure looks magnificent. Even today, cannon ball scars formed during the battle can be seen near its walls, which are testimony of Jodhpur's eventful history.

Lohapole is the one of the most important and most happening gateway of mehrangarh fort,, One can come across The Royal musicians playing drums here..the big door with security measures..The handprint of the widows ..and the main premises onwards infront..
