Stretching 160 miles through Utah, the Wasatch Range makes a rugged, glacial backdrop for the 85% of the states population living within 15 miles. Mount Nebo is highest at 11,928 feet, but the peaks around Alta and Park City are most popular. "The greatest snow on earth" falls on these spectacular slopes. Lone Peaks granite outcrops provide top climbing. Canyons and valleys are loved by fly-fishermen and hikers. After all that adventure, retire to a hip restaurant or enticing hot tub in chic Park City.

An excellent area for hiking.
I think this is one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever been on. The leaves are turning in early Oct and they look like their blazing on fire. Only a few people on the trail. A steep climb but worth every step. Consider carefully if your afraid of heights as the trail is narrow with deep drop offs. Breathtaking views ,waterfalls and lake.

Owned by Robert Redford and known for its film festival, Sundance is uncrowded and offers top-notch skiing and atmosphere.
My family attended the Full Moon chair lift ride on the full moon on Halloween! Not only was the view of the full moon fantastic (we were lucky to have clear skies and milder temperatures), but the overall theme of Halloween, haunts and spooks (actors, costumes, effects- like a haunted house) were absolutely mesmerizing, well done and completely fun and entertaining throughout the ride! We had reservations and dinner at The Foundry Grill prior and loved it! We can't wait to do it again, and are hopeful they will have that next year! ????????

great trail for our rented mountain bikes. Beware, while the grade is not steep - being an abandoned rail line - it is constant so e-bikes are recommended

One of the sites in Utah for cave exploring.
Timpanogos Cave National Monument protects a cave system on Mount Timpanogos in Northern Utah's Wasatch Mountains in American Fork Canyon. There are three caves in the National Monument: Hansen Cave, Middle Cave, and Timpanogos Cave. If you want to explore the caves, please note that access requires a guided tour, and buying a ticket—either online or at the visitor center—is necessary to secure your place in the tour. You have two tour options: the standard Cave Tour and Introduction to Caving Tour, the latter of which access to Hansen Cave is granted. A steep, 1.5-mile uphill hike is required to reach the cave entrance, so make sure you wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water. Once you enter the caves, you will be amazed at the natural formations of their interiors; however, you should also bring a light jacket or sweatshirt as conditions inside the caves are like being inside a refrigerator. And watch your heads as there are low overhangs inside. I purchased the 7:00 tour (actual cave tour did not start until 8:30) on a Saturday morning. During the cave tour, what I found the most impressive was the Great Heart of Timpanogos, an icon of Timpanogos Cave everyone would want to photograph as a highlight of the tour. Also, if you plan on going, keep in mind that cave tours, held from May to October, are highly popular and can sell out. The uphill hike is not recommended for seniors or disabled/paralyzed persons, so be sure to be in excellent health!

Ok, ok, I'll confess, I love all that there is to see & do in Haber Valley and that is why I moved here 25 years ago from California! As a visitor, you could spend several WEEKS here enjoying biking, hiking, sledding, tubing & ice skating (in winter), float-tubing down the Provo River, boating (3 lakes to choose from), fishing, quad running/snowmobiling, plane gliding, camping, flying, golfing, swimming year round in the natural heated "Crater" in Midway, farmer's markets (summer), Swiss Day's in Midway, eating at different restaurant each night and much more. Who could not fall in love in an incredible place like this! WOW. BOTTOM LINE: (Keep this a secret to yourself...only you!). Whether you come as a visitor or come here to live (or retire) you'll enjoy four distinct seasons of beauty & contrast. The views of Mt. Timpanogos and the valley are breath-taking in any season. MY RATING: 10/10,
