My friend and I did the olive picking experience. We were taught about growing olives and shown how they are picked, then we helped pick the olive from a tree they picked out for us. Appreciate the work and skill that goes into growing, harvesting and processing olives into extra virgin olive oil that is the purest and most delicious olive oil you will ever taste. Fabio, one of the family that owns the farm, and Luca our guide, made the experience the best time we had in Italy. We had a lovely lunch on the farm on a beautiful sunny warm day. We ordered some of the oil that would be made with the olives that we helped pick. It came today and we are enjoying the experience all over again. We have already decided we want to go back again! Please don't miss this experience it is the best time you will have!!!

We offer a wine tour dedicated to natural wine-making and to the discovery of how to produce wine with full respect for the environment and its land. After a walk through the rows of grapevines farmed according to biodynamic methods we reach the courtyard - during wine harvesting here it is possible to see open pan vinification - and the vinsantiera (the place where the fine dessert wine Vinsanto is produced). We then arrive at the cellar and enter the barique cellar, where our red wines are stored to refine. Each step is accompanied by descriptions and extra focus on the topics by enologists and sommeliers of the Cosimo Maria Masini, who will be pleased to answer and satisfy any curiosity. The visit then continues to the garden of the villa which has famously seen among its residents the families of the Buonaparte and the Ridolfi, in particular Cosimo Ridolfi the founder of modern agronomy and of the Accademia dei Georgofili. The tour, which lasts for about 1hour and a half, concludes at the NOW Shop with wine tasting (our own wines) combined with the chance to savour some local products. Wine tours should be booked in advance.

Podere La Chiesa is a winery located among the Pisan hills, 30km south-east of Pisa along the road to Volterra. It is on the top of an upland (125 meters a.s.l.) just before the little village of Casanova. Thanks to the great passion and skills of Maurizio Iannantuono and Palma Tonacci, Podere La Chiesa produces high quality wines organic and mostly from Sangiovese grape that is the most important autochthonous character of the territory. The new Winery is a masterpiece of modern architecture, visitors, who love wine are welcome in a warm and cozy setting, immersed in the wonderful Tuscan countryside. The cellar hosts art presentations as well as cultural and musical events on a yearly basis. Our wine is the outcome of our hard team work, deep knowledge of Tuscan nature, local culture and passion. Our Wine is an emotion that our guests treasure forever in their heart after every visit.
This is a small winery in the Tuscany area. We were so impressed by our host, Palma. The winery is a beautiful building which showcases the two passions of its owners - wine and art. There is a small but stunning art gallery above the wine cellar. We had a tour and explanation of the wine making process and history of this small boutique winery and the area. We were a party of eight with one person with a gluten intolerance. I had emailed Palma the day prior and she was happy to provide a (delicious and interesting) gluten free meal to our GI member. We sat down at a beautiful table to a wonderful meal with a different wine for each course. The food was plentiful and delicious. The large glass windows and high ceilings make for a lovely ambience. The view of the vineyards is stunning. We stayed for four hours and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend. Very memorable.

National Museum of San Matteo, which is housed in the Benedictine Monastery, features a group of paintings from the 12th- to 18th- centuries, and a rich collection of sculpture from the Pisano School.
We were blown away by this small unimposing museum. We spend a great deal of time in Italy searching out older pieces of art and were amazed to find such a great collection at the national Museum of San Matteo. Whereas you might see the occasional 13th century crucifix, here they have a whole room of them. I cannot recommend this museum enough!

Located on the bank of the Arno River, this church is Pisa's finest example of Gothic fancy.
This beautiful Pisan gothic church, which reportedly had one of the thorns of Jesus crown, was moved from a lower level by the river to its current location, just overlooking the river. At sunset, the sunlight enters through the coloured glass windows for a truly magnificent effect.
