Southwest of Seville, Jerez is a well-heeled place. It’s the home of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and its famous dancing horses; if you’re on a budget or can’t be there for a formal performance, it’s worth dropping in to catch a morning training session. The other major reason to visit Jerez is to sample its most famous product—sherry. You can do this at a number of bodegas associated with the world’s best-known brands, including Bodegas Tio Pepe, The House of Sandeman, Jerez, and Pedro Domecq. They’ll soon have you knowing your amontillado from your oloroso. There’s also an Alcázar, dating back to the time of the Almohads, which features a small mosque, now the chapel of Santa María Real.

Really enjoyed the your around the vinyards and then the winery...Roberto was a fountain of knowledge and made my 10yr olds day when he gave him a small bunch of grapes to eat...then when it came to the wine tasting, he took his time to explain the colour of the wines and the tastes asking us all what we thought of each one..Ready good tour ending in us purchasing 12 bottles between the 5 of us.... thanks you deserve 5 stars..hope the wedding went well....

CUBANAME - Sherry Cocktail Bar & Museum of Rum is, in addition to a temple dedicated to rums from all over the world, a cocktail bar that reflects its owner's personality. The bar is located in Avenida Tomás García Figueras, 6 in Jerez de la Frontera and was inaugurated in late March 2001. Cubaname is a nice, comfortable place, where the visitor could taste the best rums from all over the world and the fullest of suggestions Caribbean cocktails. The Cuban heritage is the distinguishing mark of the place, plenty of details that evoke the Havana of the thirties. From this window into the Caribbean the customer could taste more than 200 rum cocktails -150 of them originals- that barman Eloy García himself has included in a menu that is constantly being expanded to propose new options. In the shelves of Cubaname - Museo del Ron can be found more than 650 rums from the five Continents. Thus, there are treasures like a rum from Nepal whose bottle is shaped like a kukri sheath or multitude of bottles full of stories worthy a good conversation. From there follows mojitos, daiquiris, cuba-libres, piña coladas, tropical and Tiki cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), exotic mixes with coffee, without leaving out "Sherry cocktails", cocktail with a base of Sherry wine and Brandy. Summing up, a wide offer for the most demanding palates. By the way, Cubaname - Museum of Rum & Sherry Cocktail Bar also offers the possibility of take-away.
I am a professional bartender for over 20 years now and visiting this fantastic bar was one of the highlights in my life. I felt like a kid in a toy shop. With over 600 Rum bottles around and beautiful host, the bar is a hidden gem in Jerez. If you like quality cocktails and want to be served from a legendary bartender with years of experience, you must visit. So friendly and cosy place you will have a wonderful time and for sure some of the best cocktails you ever taste it.

The most important reserve of Andalusian Horse, Carthusian lineage is located in the outskirts of Jerez de la Frontera. Visits are held every Saturday at 11.00. Guided tour + show in the main arena. Opened only Saturdays from March until November.
We booked the Saturday tour and show online and the price was very reasonable for what we experienced on the day. Location is not that good to find with a SAT NAV, so take your time to plan your route if you are driving there. If you have printed off your online ticket confirmations with your seat numbers on, you do not need to queue at the ticket office, go directly to the attraction entrance and show your booking confirmations. Once inside you will be split into groups according to your language. Our guide was Vicky who was excellent. The tour explains the history of the stud farm and day to day running. You will be able to stroke the horses, as they are very calm and friendly. The horses are clearly very well cared for by the staff. The show takes place in the second half of the visit and was very good. There are toilet facilities, a shop for souvenirs and refreshments are available. There is no cafe or restaurant. I would highly recommend this attraction.

Discover the incomparable beauty of the Palacio del Virrey Laserna (Viceroy Laserna Palace), luxury and splendour of old times located in the heart of the historical centre of Jerez de la Frontera. Its property has been trasnmitted from fathers to sons since the Repartimiento (Distribution) of Alfonso X the Wise in the 13th century
We were lucky to stay at this beautiful hotel which is part of the museum so went for a guided tour. The Palacio is beautiful and it was especially unique to be guided and showed around by the count himself. He spoke excellent English and explained a lot about the history of his family and unique objects in the palace. It is full of beautiful art work, furniture and hunting trophies of his grandfather. It was especially interesting to visit as it is their home and has been in the family for centuries. Very unique experience and definitely must visit when in Jerez.
