Just a short drive from the main town, the ruins are just off the parking lot. Not overrun with visitors, but a sprawling gymnasium and baths complex and wonderful ampitheatre are highlights. The short loop takes you to all you need to see. We did the longer walk, which goes through brush for a while before coming to much less impressive ruins.

We have been going to Ayia Nappa area for the last 10 years and it’s a must to visit here ... even if we are not wandering around the nature park. Off the main road on the way from Knossos Bay travel to the corner where the visitor centre is located here you will see the van parked up along with seating. You can park the car easily here. Per said first time we visited we though wow the sandwiches was ace ... extremely good value and mega filling tasty. Louis the chap who runs it very friendly helpful. I can recommend one sandwich will take the feeling of wanting to eat anything for the rest of the day. If your on the bus 201-2-3 it stops by the sandwich van. On a plus note the Cypriot taxi drivers etc stop and eat here , and has I’ve always said if the locals use it ... well it must be good. !!

Our Annual Walk from Dhyrenia Viewpoint to Ayia Thekla takes us through one of Mother Nature’s finest creations that is Cape Greco. This year after the Lockdown and complete lack of tourism Mother has reclaimed some of her lost vegetation and the area is looking very very green and welcoming. So peaceful and tranquil on this warm January morning. So relaxing it should be on prescription.

CyHerbia gardens and nature park is situated in the village of Avgorou, and includes a beautifully landscaped herb garden, laid out into 9 different themes, a lavender meditation labyrinth, a woodland area with the endemic trees and shrubs of Cyprus, and the first and only maze (2000 sq.m.) of the island. On site visitors can witness the extraction of essential oil. There is a shop with our own organic herbal products and a tea room overlooking the gardens, where light lunches, cakes and a large selection of teas are prepared fresh every day.
A most beautiful place to go. So welcoming with the most beautiful plants, wildlife and lovely herbal products and delicious food. We visit every time we come to Cyprus and I am only sorry we will not make it this year to see the albino hedgehog. We did see the rescued ones a few years ago.
