This place has it all, great views of the Shropshire Hills, great holes for starters or more seasoned pros. Clubs available for hire (free of charge) if you are a starter (junior or adult), just let them know ahead of you turning up. Greens are well looked after with a magnitude of hole complexities for a pitch and putt. Prices are next to nothing too, £5 adult and £4 kids. You can buy balls on site (3 for a £1). If you’re a starter Best Buy a couple of packs just in case! Football golf is available on site too, £5/ player. Again a lot of fun and can be played regardless of age! Great family ran business!

Henlle Park Golf Club

Created over 130 acres our Premier Course set in beautiful Georgian Parkland, Henlle Park is a true test for every level of golfer. The mature oak trees provide protection to approach shots with natural lakes and pools making tee shots challenging too. The yardage on red tees (Par 72) is 5347 yards, yellow tees (Par 70) is 5854 yards and white tees (Par 70) is 6161 yards.

Henlle Park is an excellent golf course, a little hilly when compared to the other two town courses, but a true test for golfers of all abilities. We did not play it this year but fully intend to be back next.

Church Stretton Golf Club

Church Stretton is a golf course to play in the spring, autumn or winter; there is well-drained turf and we never play on temporary greens or tee mats. Arguably one of the most scenic courses around, Church Stretton is the third highest course in Britain. For some fairly steep climbs you’re rewarded with simply sensational panoramic vistas, none more so than from the short par-4 15th tee.

I have played on many top courses around the world but this is by far the quirkiest and most unusual. It is the longest 5000 yds I have ever played! Stunning scenery, blind shots, sheer drops, big climbs, sheep, ponies, driver on a par 3 into the wind and wedge 180 yds down wind. This course has at all. Great value and friendly club.

Hawkstone Park Hotel Golf Course

Reviewed By gingerpostie - Anglesey, United Kingdom

What can I say. An excellent golfing experience. 2 superb courses, beautifully maintained, both offering different challenges for all levels of golfer. The Championship Course, a Par 72 with 4 par 5s and 4 par 3s, was arguably the better course. It was reasonably flat with the biggest bunkers I’ve ever seen. The 3 water holes reminded me a little of Amen Corner at Augusta. The Hawkstone Course, a Par 72 with 3 par 5s and 3 par 3s, was a bit hillier, with only one water hole. There are 2 practice greens, a pitching area and a driving range to dust away the cobwebs before teeing off and the very pleasant Lyles Bar for refreshments to quench that thirst or settle those nerves pre and post round. Here you can also get a decent bar meal once you’ve worked up your appetite. There are also buggies and trollies available for extra cost. ????????????????????
