The moody, romantic Scottish Highlands start at Loch Lomond just north of Glasgow. Comprising a slew of mountain ranges, this sparsely populated land is best seen by train on the West Highland Line. Mountains, lochs, bright heather and rhododendrons give way to white sand beaches and rugged coves as the train nears Mallaig. For a more active take on the region, hike the West Highland Way or visit the Trossachs National Park. Ben Nevis, a popular climbing spot, looms over the town of Fort William.

Designed by Old Tom Morris in 1886, this challenging, historic course has spectacular views of the North Sea and goes almost straight out and straight back, with the angle changing subtly at each hole.
Had a first rate couple of visits to Royal Dornoch this New Year. Found the course in great condition even at this time of year, and the hospitality and catering in the clubhouse was top notch. The course is a great challenge with some fantastic holes, especially as you work your way back to the clubhouse. Views are stunning. Will definitely be back in the Summer.

Golfers at this remote course face challenging hilly terrain, but are rewarded with a picturesque setting.
We had arranged to hire clubs and were met by an extremely friendly member to complete that transaction. The clubhouse is warm and cosy with panoramic views of the bay. A great visitors course with so many different holes. The final hole is a brilliant short hole across the cliff and in you come to the deightful club house. Though I rarely get up so far North, I love this place!

Played the course a few days running at the end on October, winter greens in operation due to the frost. The club house was closed & an honesty box in operation. Met a few of the memebers who were all very friendly and helpful. It’s a 9 hole & relatively short course but a good test of golf. The greens looked in excellent condition although I didn’t get to play them due to the frost. Would definitely look to play it again if I was up there in the summer. A credit to the members & committee.

Our 9 hole well manicured parkland golf course (par 33) is well known for it’s picturesque setting. A very popular activity with our holiday cottage guests, offering a unique opportunity to be on the first tee in just a two minutes walk from your front door!
My wife Penny and I took a weekly ticket commencing 5 October and had a terrific time. The course is a little gem and is well looked after. The views are exceptional and the course is suitable for all levels of golfers. Would certainly recommend.

Links golf at its best in Scotland: this 18-hole challenge is in a glorious setting overlooking the Moray Firth to the north and surrounded by fields of abundant heather, great waves of gorse and distant mountains providing a spectacular backdrop along this course's 6,722 yards.

This picturesque championship golf course is one of the best known courses in the Scottish Highlands.
We were staying in Boat of Garden and went here for coffee and homemade cakes/scones. It was lovely and views are second to none. Also has full bar for non members. The millionaire shortbread was the best I've ever had.....and I've had a few!!!
