18-hole championship golf course built in 1996, and designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course layout is adjacent to the ocean where six of the holes and fairways are situated right off the beach. Tropical landscaping, clusters of palm trees lining the fairways, strategically placed bunkers, impeccably manicured greens and spectacular views. Estrella Del Mar hosted the 2011 Mexican PGA Championship for the first time May 5-8, just one of only two events held in Mexico on the Canadian Tour's 2011 schedule.
In March 6 of us visited Mazatlan Mexico,we were able to golf Estrella Del Mar Golf Course, what a wonderful Latin PGA golf course next to the ocean. I highly suggest you go play a round on this golf course it is beautiful. I would like to thank Carlos Dominguez for helping us arrange our golfing experience.

Punta Mita Resorts is fortunate to have two Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses within its gates. The first course, Punta Mita Pacifico, was built in 1999 and boasts the only natural ocean island par-3 hole in the world. Punta Mita Bahia, built in 2009, offers challenging greens and spectacular Oceanside holes. Golf course play is exclusive for Club Punta Mita Members and their guests or Four Seasons and St. Regis resort guests.
Great courses, Pacifico is less challenging, more of an scenic play nestled with plenty of ocean views. Bahía is much more challenging with undulating greens. The staff is always friendly, the course has a fast play. Hole 3B is a scenic gem - subject play to tides.

Beautiful 18-hole course located right on the ocean with spectacular views.
This is a semi-private course. While it is about 30 minutes from the hotel zone in Acapulco it is worth the drive. Cost by taxi $300-$400 pesos. The fee is approximately $175 US dollars. The course is worth the money. Nice driving range to warm up. You are assigned a caddie who will treat you like a PGA pro. Their carts are comfortable and drive nicely. As for the course, lot's of water holes, and overall a challenging course. Yet fairways are large enough to give relief to the average player. Fairways are very well maintained. Unlike most southern courses not many spots where you have a sponge ground. IE.It does play like a northern course. The greens are smallish. They are fast so play the front of the green to play the roll. Listen to your caddie where to hit the ball. Many breaks the average player does not see. Please tip the caddie well, they work hard for you. The clubhouse is nice, I was treated very well. I met the golf pro who was from Ireland. Very nice guy would went out of his way to talk with me and ensure I had a nice round. I felt like I was playing my house course back home in the manner which they treated me. Must play course.

This is a pretty little 9 hole course. Very hilly and some tight fairways but lots of fun. It is pretty difficult to find though, taxi drivers are not really aware of it. We phoned and booked our tee time, but could only get it for 9 holes even though no one was on the course. They do have golf clubs for rent, but don't expect much and they are very very old. It's good to know that the main gates are kept close until your tee time. So she will drive down and pick you up at the gates at your tee time. It cost us 930 peso for 9 holes, clubs and cart. But for all the quirks it was another Mexican adventure and well worth it.

Go on Golfnow and book a Hot Deal rate as you get a much better value than paying full price. The Norman course is fun and challenging and I would rank it personally as the best in PV. I’ve played almost all courses excluding Marina Vallarta. Course conditions were much better than Vista Vallarta (both Vista courses are not very good and I would not recommend them, keeping in mind that they’re the highest rated courses, but I strongly don’t agree with that rating). Vidanta courses require a caddy, so I would recommend that you email the resort and request Hugo as your caddy (great caddy and is a pleasure to talk to and speaks excellent English if that’s your native tongue). Only thing I can think of that needs improvement is the bunkers, but given the fact it’s rainy season it’s a tough situation to address. Pace of play has been great and you’ll pretty much have the course to yourself. I played in just under 3 hrs.
