Once a destination for honeymoons and family vacations, Niagara Falls has really stepped it up as an action-packed vacation spot. The falls are literally the biggest draw – watching the frothy water tumble at alarming speeds can be mesmerizing. Throw on a poncho and hop aboard the Maid of the Mist to cruise close enough to the falls to be drenched by spray. Hit the main strip of Clifton Hill for flashy tourist attractions and restaurants galore.

Whirlpool Golf Club

This amazing public golf course was a great place to enjoy golfing at its finest. While my husband and I are relatively new to the sport of golf, we found the relaxed and open feel of this course very welcoming. Minutes from our hotel, we easily made an online reservation, and enjoyed our playing experience. We were welcomed as tourists, which we have not always found to be the case while traveling to new places. We enjoyed lunch in the club house and hiked down the gorge to view the whirlpool afterwards. Great to be away from the crowds of Niagara Falls.

My husband and I got married at Legends on the Niagara on New Years Eve 2019 and we were blown away with how perfect everything went. We owe most of it to the staff at Legends! Honestly our guests and family are still talking about the amazing customer service and food at the venue. Not to mention the venue is so beautiful and needs minimal decor, it’s beauty speaks for itself. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we ( bride and groom) were happy but also our family were comfortable and satisfied. We actually joked that some of the staff felt like family. From a drink spilling or a meal choice change, the staff were on it and went above what was expected of them. The food was important to us and Chef Dan did a wonderful job, that Butternut Squash soup was mind blowing! We couldn’t recommend this venue enough.

Dinosaur Adventure Golf

CANADA'S LARGEST MINI GOLF ATTRACTION!!! As one of the nation’s largest miniature golf courses, Dinosaur Adventure Golf features two 18-hole courses: "Raptor" and "T-Rex" (A Total of 36 Holes); 3 distinct decorative ponds with fast-moving rapids and bubblers; and a 50 foot high “active” steam-erupting volcano that lets golfers play directly through a realistically eerie, cavernous volcanic interior on their way to the 18th hole. All of this is spread out over a massive 70,000 square foot playing surface, and populated by 50 astonishingly realistic and life-sized dinosaurs -- many which loom over 30 feet high. A digital sound system compliments the scene by pumping out jungle and nature sound effects, which are sure to make even the most skeptical golfers wonder if they’ve been transported back in time hundreds of millions of years. Dinosaur Adventure Golf is located behind the Niagara SkyWheel!

Everytime I come to Clifton hills, I always walked by this mini put and have always wanted to play here, because it just looks so fun with all the dinosaurs. Today, I finally got the chance to go mini putting at the Dinosaur Adventure Golf! I must say, my friends and I very much enjoyed ourselves! This mini put course has such a great atmosphere and very enjoyable scenery because of all the dinosaurs around! and an “erupting” Volcano of fire! Very cool! The price is also very reasonable and not too expensive! I would definitely recommend this to family’s with children, a group of friends whether you are a teenager or older, and couples. Fun for everyone. I would definitely come back and play.

Very nice and very long golf course. Well kept and fun to play. The layout is wide spread so you won't be walking this one. Tiny clubhouse but very enjoyable day. only complaint is that we had slow players ahead of us constantly looking for balls and holding everyone up without the marshal saying anything.

Thundering Waters Golf Club

A John Daly Signature Course

Reviewed By P4054PKkend - Stratford, Canada

As one of the members of our group said as we left the 18 th green: "I love this golf course" . The other two of us agreed. There are such a wide variety of reviews and experiences of this course we really weren't sure what we were in for. But, it was exquisitely designed by John Daly as a risk and reward course that places a premium on target golf. It is just delightfully different. We pretty much had the course to ourselves. We made it around in 3 1/2 hours. The forecast was rain and thunder. So, many people cancelled, including our fourth. Once we were assured by the pro shop that the thunder threat was gone we decided to give it a go. We played the first hole in a steady rain. But, then it stopped. Our rain gear came off. And the next 17 holes were played in dry, muggy weather. The gigantic bunkers weren't groomed. That is not uncommon during the pandemic. But, the rest of the course sure was. And it was the only one of the five Niagara courses we played with a food and beverage building open out on the course. You pass by it a few times during the course of play. We all had smoked meat sandwiches. All in all, it was a fun course. Unique design.
