Since 1919, the exquisite beauty and unique challenges of Pebble Beach Golf Links have electrified golfers and spectators alike. Designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant, the course hugs California’s rugged coastline, providing wide-open vistas, cliff-side fairways and sloping greens. Over the years, Pebble Beach Golf Links has been the site of golf’s most prestigious tournaments such as the annual AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and five U.S. Open Championships, including the 2010 U.S. Open. We are excited and honored to welcome back the U.S. Open to Pebble Beach for the sixth time in 2019!
I had a Sunday to play golf in the Bay Area and have always wanted to play Pebble Beech. I got there early at 8am and asked the starter if there was room for a single. To my luck there was a 3-some at 8:40. I was so happy, the weather was perfect, mid-60's with a slight breeze and I was going to play Pebble Beech. Green fees are $525, the most I have ever payed for a round of golf, but to play the Pebble it was worth it. We took a lot of pics with our phones, but I also took a lot of time to enjoy the experience. There are so many famous golf holes to experience. Number 7 is a great short par 3, number 17 is a tough par 3, and number 18 next to the ocean and heading to the Lodge. The greens are fast and there are a lot of traps, so you better have a decent short game. I'll always remember my round at the Pebble.

We loved our 1 Bedroom Premium Queen room enjoying views of the Golf Course. Working in Tourism I sing praises of our VIP experience we got. The text messaging for requests is high class as within minutes coffee was brought to our room. The GM and his team are so attentive and friendly. We loved your lobby, the Bubbles sitting on our patio to my Breakfast at your restaurant. Sadly the pool was closed but we shall return. Felt like we stayed at a 5 star Hawaii resort on Maui.

Tucked in the hills of Carmel Valley and bordering the river, this beautiful, lush green course has some of the most dramatic tee shots in California.

One of America's leading Scottish-style links golf courses features rolling fairways, white sand dunes and a bagpipe performance that signals the end of each day.
We played golf at Spanish Bay on Labor Day Week-end, This is a beautiful world class golf course with scenic ocean views The golf course of course is in excellent condition, It can be a bit of a challenge to play. There were many other players there the day we were there.

Stretching 6,859 yards at par 72, this Robert Trent Jones, Sr. layout is a demanding and rigorous course requiring acute skill and length from the back tees.
This is a must if you are in the Monterey Peninsula area and love golf as much as I do. This will be a bit pricey but worth it. At $395.00 a round it is less expensive than it Sister course Pebble Beach. They are located in the same area and have the same views of the ocean. I found it to be harder than Pebble Beach although Pebble is fantastic.

A well-kept secret in the Monterey area, this golf course is long and technically challenging.
Great golf course nice and long fairways with plenty of room to scramble if you have a bad day on your driver, the greens are well kept and fast , we love the pace of play is great, friendly staffs, practice balls come with your booking fee , no wonder why the professionals PGA championship choose this place in 2018 don’t let the price stop you best to look for “hot deal “

The Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course, the Peninsula's only municipal golf course, is often called the "poor man's Pebble Beach."
Had sonme time to play a round of golf while visiting family in Monterey. Heard about the "Poor Man's Pebble Beach". Gave it a try and was not disappointed. Course does not beat you up. I had not played golf since August and I rented clubs ($45.00 for TitIeist A1 irons and 913 Driver & 16.5 fairway wood, Hybrid with a Scotty Cameron putter). Paciguc Grove is short, so I played the back tees at just over 5700 yards. Front 9 is interesting but not spectacular. Greens roll very true. The Back is links style with great views of the Pacific Ocean and Dunes. Took in the views si much, dif not scored great on yhd back. Didn't care since the goal was to play golf in California. Staff is very friendly and the cost is very much worth it ($55.00 for a Wednesday 10:30 tee time). Not the Big Time courses in the area, but in good shape and I was impressed with it. Pace of play was also very good. Not rushed and nor stuffy like thd Big Name Courses. I hope I can play there again next time I visit Monterey.

Good Value at $30 to play a fun par 3 course and you can play as much as you want - All the holes are 100 yards or less and the greens were great when I visited. Not sure when the course will reopen after the US Open here.
