Tradition collides with pop culture in Tokyo, where you can reverently wander ancient temples before rocking out at a karaoke bar. Wake up before the sun to catch the lively fish auction at the Tsukiji Market, then refresh with a walk beneath the cherry blossom trees that line the Sumida River. Spend some time in the beautiful East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, then brush up on your Japanese history at the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Don’t forget to eat as much sushi, udon noodles, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) as your belly can handle.

Japanese traditional candles, Japanese interior goods such as hanging fabrics, tea incense, flower vase, tablewear
A lovely little gem of a shop at Kagurazaka. It's a little hard to find because you have to go down an alley from the main street but worth the search. They sell beautiful Japanese style candles using no oil based substances 100% natural ingredients like seeds. They are hand made and hand painted by craftsmen, which is very rare now and there is less than 20 of them in the whole of Japan. Great for a gift for that special person.
