The Museum of Native American History invites you to "Walk Through America's Past," where we will give you a glimpse into what life was like for America's first inhabitants. The museum is divided into five different time periods that will guide you through the constantly changing lives of the Native Americans, as seen through their artifacts. Our displays feature relics that date from over 14,000 years old to historic times. Come visit our museum and enjoy seeing some of the finest treasures ever created by early craftsmen. Who we are…Alpacas at Marquam Hill Ranch is an 18 acre ranch in Molalla, Oregon. We are directly in between Molalla and Silverton. We have 80+ Huacaya alpacas. We breed our animals for the fineness of their fiber, with a soft handle and good density. Our goal is to create a long term fineness in all animals that mimics the feel of cashmere or better. Presently more than half our herd is under 21 micron. We have white as well as a variety of other colors of alpacas. There are 22 natural colors of alpacas as defined by the Alpaca Registry. Bill is an AOBA Certified Fleece and Performance Judge. His education helps in the purchases and breeding of our alpacas. In the future we will be holding seminars on fleece evaluations, breeding selection, business plan write ups and fiber arts. If there is a topic you’d like to learn about, we’ll find the instructor and create the class. Or you can just stop by and we would be happy to answer your questions. We have a large fleece room dedicated for presentations and a ranch store for a quick pick up gift for yourself or someone special.Our herd consists of eight studs we either fully own or own in partnership. They are Snowmass Trilogy, Ezekial's Challenger of Marquam Hill, Crescent Moon’s Ezekial, Crescent Moon’s Accoyo Elizario, Accoyo America Kodiak, Nirvana of AMHR, Denver of AMHR and Emerald Cloud's Javelin.We love to talk about these amazing animals. The Elephant Seal Viewing area and the Friends of the Elephant Seal Visitor Center and Gift Shop (250 San Simeon Ave, Suite 3B, San Simeon, CA) are two separate locations. They are 7.2 miles apart. Please plan to visit both while you are in the area. When It's Dark, I See the Lights! I relocated from Brazil to Alaska in 2001 and have been chasing and photographing Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) ever since. I never heard about the Northern Lights before I moved to Alaska. The first time I saw them it was love at first sight. That was it! From there on I knew what I wanted to do, I wanted to share the Auroras with the world and show them to everyone who doesn't have the opportunity to see the Northern lights. That's what I have been doing since. From long and cold nights photographing amazing auroras through the skies, and teaching northern lights photography workshops, to the summers explaining and showing the auroras to the ones that are not able to visit Alaska in the winters. I am a photographer in Alaska, living the dream life of many photographers. Many of my images were published by NASA, Space Weather Live, Washington Post, space.com, Nature Photographer Magazine, Society of Nature Photographers, just to name a few.

The Museum of the Gulf Coast celebrates the biology, history, and unique culture of the southeastern Gulf Coast, covering the region between Houston and New Orleans. There are two floors of exhibits including features on biodiversity, archaeology and paleontology. The first floor focuses on the pre-history and history of the region and the early petroleum industry. The Gulf Coast Hall of Fame includes politicians, filmmakers, and several successful Hollywood actors including Evelyn Keyes (Gone with the Wind) and G.W. Bailey (Police Academy). Animator Kelly Asbury (Beauty and the Beast, Shrek, Spirit), Karen Silkwood, and Major Tom Collins (one of the first pilots to break the sound barrier) have exhibits in this space along with accomplished individuals from many different fields (science, education, politics). There is also a rotating gallery which hosts a new exhibit every four months. The second floor showcases our decorative arts and maritime collections. We also pay tribute to artists, musicians, and athletes who have roots in this area including (but not limited to) Robert Rauschenberg, Janis Joplin, Edgar and Johnny Winter, Jimmy Johnson, and Babe Zaharias. The Museum offers customized tours and a wide variety of educational programming for pre-school children through adults.
