No better place to shop for music in the “Live Music Capitol of the World.” Amazing lay out of records, books, and other random music gets. This is on the level of Amoeba Music in LA or The Drama Book Shop in NYC. Both are treasures to their community as much as Waterloo is the treasure trove of ours.

Antonelli’s Cheese Shop is at the heart of Austin’s cheese scene. We have a bustling cut-to-order cheese shop. We host weekly public and private cheese appreciation classes where a friendly cheesemonger guides you through the story behind each cheese; we usually carry up to 100 types. Partnering with artisans who are truly committed to managing their lands sustainably and caring for herds humanely allows us to source the finest local, domestic and international cheese. As Austin’s first specialty cheese shop, our cheese can be appreciated in person at the shop and in restaurants across town. A decade into life as cheese experts, we could never have imagined where life would take us and are excited to continue our cheese-y journey!
My family did a Gold Tasting from Antonelli's Cheese Shop - 7 kinds of cheese, 3 charcuteries, 3 chocolates - as part of a group event. Antonelli's was super accomodating and substituted all kinds of pickled beets, peppers, and veggies in lieu of the meat for us. The cheesemongers walked us all through the courses explaining the flavors, processes, terroir, and unique characteristics. It's just like fine wine! We learned a lot, had a ton of fun, and got to ask questions and get recommendations on food, wine, and beer pairings. I definitely recommend this for special events or group meetings. They also offer open courses and events. They offer specialty cheeses that you just can't find anywhere! We enjoyed some of these unique cheeses so much that right after our meeting, we went right back to the web site to order our favorites!

Just stumbled in here as we were walking by on Main Street and now this could be the reason for coming back next time. The store is filled with gourmet foods and samples. It has a large selection of very unique flavors and is a good stop to shop and explore. My favorite is the raspberry flavored peanut butter.

We have visited Savage Finds several times now when we come to town. Not only is it a huge space but it is filled with wonderful and unique things. They are continuously changing up the merchandise so it’s new and fresh all the time. The mural on the outside of the building is gorgeous and made for a great family photo! The owners are super friendly and very knowledgeable. I especially love the addition of classes that are offered. Something fun to do while in town and can take home a handmade item from an amazing town. I can’t wait to go back again!

Historic General store in the tiny town of Luckenbach, Texas built in 1849 by the German settlers of the Texas Hill Country.
We were staying in Fredericksburg for a couple of nights and decided on the first evening to take the 15min drive to Luckenback without knowing exactly what was ahead of us .As we arrived at the site were were directed in the dark to a large parking site in a field and straight away we knew there was going to be nothing too organized about this venue .There was a $10 cover charge for the musicians playing that night and it was well worth it .Of course the first visit is to the old post office / souvenir store and then to the outdoor music venue .Picnic type tables laid out all around a yard under the canopy of a huge tree .Several bars ,cash only, selling beers ,wine ,soft drinks and water and some small food trucks .Music was excellent and lots of people dancing including ourselves on a not to flat dancing area in front of the stage .People dressed in their finest country outfits and really enjoying their night . Happened to sit beside a local ! couple who had travelled 40 miles for a date night and some dancing .People were just so friendly and made us feel so welcome from overseas .We enjoyed the night so much we returned on the Sunday afternoon for more great free music and free fun ,loved it and Sunday appeared to be a great family day .Hope you get to see the rooster that goes up on stage to join in ????????

Chocolate shop locally crafted by artisans using ethically farmed and traded cocoa beans from different parts of the world then blended in Italy or Belgium for amazing smoothness and quality. We use local fruit and nuts and Texas produced spirits in creative ways producing confections unparalleled. The shop also has unique gifts juried by designer LaDonne Wenzel.
We’ve been going to Wiseman House for years and they truly have the best chocolate you’ve ever had. Their store is adorable and sells a variety of gourmet chocolates, gifts and cute home goods. When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted favors from Wiseman! They packaged chocolate truffles in lovely boxes with ribbons for each of our guests and we couldn’t have been happier with how they turned out. The chocolates were delicious and each favor was beautiful! Thank you for helping make our wedding special. Even if you just stop by to taste some chocolate, you don’t want to miss Wiseman House!
