Since 1979, the CERAMICAS SEMINARIO workshop has been dedicated to the research and application of techniques and designs from the ancient cultures of Peru. Pablo Seminario and Marilu Behar have created a new artistic expression that gives continuity to our cultural heritage. In 1982, they opened their workshop in the Sacred Valley of the Incas where they train local artisans that make each piece entirely by hand. The trajectory and work of Pablo and Marilu is internationally recognized, and their pieces have been acquired by well-known museums. CERAMICAS SEMINARIO invites you to visit its workshop-gallery where you can take a tour to discover the Inca and Pre-Inca techniques that we utilize to create the Pablo Seminario style of ceramics. We are located in the city of Urubamba, Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cusco, Peru. We also offer the possibility to be part of the workshop experience in a pre-booked ceramics class.
What a delightful place! The family history and the fact that the family still owns and operates this place makes it even more special. They make beautiful pottery and art pieces, teach others how to, and have a showroom full of amazing pieces for sale. Do yourself a favour and visit!

ALQA is an art gallery focused on the conservation and dissemination of the traditional artistic expressions of the indigenous high andean communities. Our work not only represents an exquisite curation, but also a meticulous research that allows, through a considerable historical and social burden, to create a chain of relationships between all the pieces on exhibition, allowing the recontextualization and recovery of them in order to reinforce and place value on the cultural identity of the artists and their communities of origin.
You've got to check out ALQA Gallery if you're in Ollantaytambo! The staff there is so very friendly. The vibe is chill, no one is there to push any sales on you. They have beer on tap to sip while you explore the wide variety of artwork and hand made goods sourced from Andean towns and villages located throughout the Sacred Valley. They have one of a kind photographic prints, sculptures, beautifully made hats and much more!

Marco was gracious enough to accept our last minute tour request and we are so glad that he did. We had a wonderful day visiting Chinchero, Andean Colors (a company helping women in the area achieve financial independence), Moray and Ollantaytambo. Marco would have taken us to Maras and to lunch as well, but we decided to skip. At Andean Colors we had the opportunity to feed the llamas and alpacas and Maritza gave us an informative talk about the process of cleaning and dying the natural fibers utilized in many of their fabrics. It was great to meet her as well as Melanie and Ilda. Marco is a wonderful tour guide who is informative, professional, and leads you around the destinations with ease. We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend the day with wonderful company.

We sell authentic organic raw honey sourced in pesticide-free areas from isolated beekeeping communities at 4000 meters altitude in Cusco and around the Sacred Valley that are rich in native medicinal plants, flowers and trees. We work to provide a honey that is pure and that is a natural healing alternative. We are passionate about bees and conscious beekeeping.
Such a great shop in Ollantaytambo! Amazing honey!!! And a really wide selection. Loved it! Really interesting!
