Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

In Japan, when storm clouds form on the horizon, it might well rain gum drops. Ame, which means both rain and candy in the island's native tongue, takes form in the US as boutique Ame Ame, combining rain gear for necessity and candy to sweeten the gloom.

A friend had her book launch last evening @ Rizzoli...wonderful to hear an author relate her story, and, draw us into her book....surrounded by beautiful books, interesting books, and so many worlds to get lost in. Browse the aisles, read the jackets, discover a new world, and buy a book in the bookstore - where it matters.

Me and my best friend visited this store as we wanted to get a bunch of gifts for our families, and I had read all the previous reviews and it seemed like such a lovely place. The reviews are so true!! This shop is so wonderful, stocked with loads and loads of different postcards, mugs, replicas, snowglobes and anything else you can think of. I spent well over $100 at this store and the owner is so kind and appreciative as soon as you walk into the store. He's the sweetest man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and even if I may have found souvenirs cheaper had I searched around more, I am so so glad that I was able to support this company and its one of a kind owner. Thank you for having me and thank you for the free gifts!! You're truly an amazing man and you should be ever so proud of your spectacular shop and the glow that you bring to it. We loved visiting you <3
