Junk Deluxe are a double act, Benjamin, who has a particular penchant for anything industrial, metal, and modernist, and Hayley, who has an eye for off the wall, quirky items, that your Gran definitely never owned. Based in Margate, Kent, Junk Deluxe focuses on affordable modern design. Specialising in furniture and lighting, they stock items from the modernist 1930's, right up to the exuberant, quality conscious 1980s, and anywhere excellent in between.Junk Deluxe is deeply hidden within another shop, on a residential street, so it's best to come prepared with a map. Upon finding the shop, customers are usually surprised to discover a shop not filled with the usual mid century design cliches, but an array of unique and novel items that they have probably never seen before, and are unlikely to see again.

Watch fresh whipping cream fudge made in store to an authentic 1800's recipe using original hand craft methods and try a free sample hot off the marble slab. Vegetarian and dairy intolerant/vegan friendly flavours available.
This is the best fudge I have ever eaten! Soft and gooey inside. I bought the salted caramel - amazing. The owners are very friendly and give great recommendations of flavours. Wish I lived closer!

I remember this shop from many years ago when it was still a chemist and always loved the old medicine drawers that line the back wall. It’s lovely that the character of the original shop has been retained and they are still there. Arrowsmiths started as a small quirky gift shop and over the years has grown into a truly unique style of gift shop. You can sometimes pick up a cheaper little bargain but on the whole it’s not what most would call cheap. I am a firm believer that you do get what you pay for and it’s evident here. I live in Broadstairs and have been shopping at Arrowsmiths for years, often going in just to wander and “oo that’s lovely” at the gifts; but usually coming out with something! The staff that run the shop are lovely, so helpful and chatty which I find really nice. They’ve worked hard to become the amazing place it is and long may they do well in Broadstairs.

Jeremy's aim is to stock a wide range of essential, practical and fun products at affordable prices. Jeremy's Home Store was established in 1996 by Jeremy Waller with the help of his business partner and wife, Clare. Together they have created an 'Aladdin's Cave' of home-ware products, injecting a magical appeal in to those everyday essentials. Their aim has always been to provide their customers with essential, practical and fun products at affordable prices. Although only a small shop, Jeremy's quickly grew in popularity and reputation, so that in 2002 it underwent an extension to accommodate the growing need for its fantastic products. Then at the end of 2012 the shop doubled in size, taking over the vacant premise next door. This enabled a more diverse selection of gadgets and gizmos to be stocked and saw the shop turn into the 'crammed to the rafters' wonderland that it is today. Through out the years Jeremy's has managed to retain that traditional, rustic feel, providing its customers with a unique shopping experience. This is owed in part to the family atmosphere Jeremy's evokes, upheld by its loyal, friendly, knowledgable staff, many of which have been there years. No longer Tunbridge Wells' best kept secret, Jeremy's has decided to branch out on to the world wide web. Fulfilling the desire to bring their loyal customers, many of who travel from all over the UK to see us, the products that they want, from the comfort of their own homes. We stock everything from tin openers, to Emma Bridgewater tins. If you can't find what you are looking for in store or online then please contact us and we will be happy to help you track down any elusive items!
A wonderful eclectic choice of gifts for all ages, (shopped online during lockdown) excellent, prompt service with plastic free wrapping, loved the little gesture of a tube of love hearts too.

The cafe "Fennel" here is a lovely independant clean bright place, with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors if the weather permits. Serving a variety of freshly baked homemade cakes, cheese and apple chutney scones (delicious), freshly made soup and other dishes, Coffees, tea and a refreshing mint drink, a fresh mint sprig in hot water with clear honey to taste, very refreshing and healthy too, this is a little known charming place you must visit for a drink and a bite to eat after an alpaca trek, or just to eat a lovely place.

Independent coffee shop and interior accessories , furniture & gift shop. English, French & Scadi interior accessories to compliment any home
I found this tiny shop and cafe by sheer accident. The shop is filled with intricate things and the cafe offers delicious cakes, hot chocolate, nice teas, etc. There is a little garden at the back with three tables and further tables upstairs. The staff is super friendly!!! I would most definitely recommend this cafe; it is now my favourite place to unwind.

Situated in the heart of Canterbury we are a friendly family run business and have been an established pawnbrokers for over twenty years. Our staff are professional in all aspects of thier work, approachable and most importantly discreet because your business is our business but nobody else's. Pre-owned watches and jewellery are our speciality.
Kim and her team were amazing, professional , yet friendly and kind. Their knowledge of jewelry is unbeatable, I can recommend using their service 100%. I was pleased to find out that Kim will be offering an outreach service, which I will be using. This will also be great news for those with mobility issues who can't access the community :)

This was a birthday treat for my wife that unfortunately got postponed due to the pandemic. There was a bit of a mix up (mostly my fault) with the rearranged appointment. They were very accommodating in fitting us in when it suited us. The silversmith intro course was great fun. Leah was very knowledgable and informative. She explained what we did very clearly and we learnt a lot about the background to the silversmith craft. We had a great time and I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience.
