We produce and supply world renowned smoked and fresh products to various high-class establishments, such as, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, and The Ritz. The business has excellent ethics and a zero carbon footprint. The Smokery shop has one of the country's best fish counters, a delicatessen packed with amazing homemade pates, salads and cured fish. The café has a great selection of cakes, light bites and stunning expertly cooked simple seafood dishes. The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday 12:00-14:30 and Thursday to Saturday for dinner 17:00-21:00 with more evenings to follow.
Met an ex work colleague for lunch here and it’s a lovely place to shop for fine foods and eat in the cafe or restaurant upstairs. Not cheap but well presented fresh meals served by pleasant staff. I just had a smoked salmon & cream cheese sandwich with a side order but my friend had one of the daily specials of sea bream. Both dishes were superb and the deserts were irresistible. Great surroundings and will return soon to buy some specialities for my guests over Christmas.

Taurus Crafts is a vibrant visitor centre where you can see a wide range of arts and crafts. Throughout the year, there are opportunities to discover your own creativity, join a workshop including making, decorating and throwing your own pots, jewellery making, chocolate making, stone carving & puppet making. As well as being the home to a fantastic range of independent businesses, we run three shops and a café with a mixed ability team providing opportunities for work placements & supported employment for people with mental health and learning disabilities.
We had a lovely time in the paint your own pottery section with Cathy who was lovely and patient! My step daughter has a learning disability and isn't comfortable everywhere, but Cathy was relaxed and not pushy with her so she thoroughly enjoyed it! There were a lot of different pottery shapes to choose from, including a great Halloween pumpkin plaque. There were letters of the alphabet which stand up and do Alex chose one for her Dad. Cathy has lots of colours to chose from and aprons to keep clean!!! The paint dried quickly so we went to the handmade chocolate shop and by the time we had strolled back to the pottery it was dry and ready to take home. We will definitely be going back to paint something else. We ended up at Taurus Crafts for a good couple of hours as we had some lunch in the cafe and also went to our favourite hippy shop, Indigo, which is full of lovely gifts, some clothes, scarves and bags and amazing smelling soaps and bath bombs!! We always find presents there for people of all ages! I'd definitely recommend it if you are visiting the Forest on a wet day as there's lots to look at, do and buy! It's also right by Coinross garden centre so I think there's something for everyone there!!

The craft shops have a good selection of gift ideas at very reasonable prices. The restaurant/cafe is good homemade food and served well presented, at great prices. The desserts are as wonderful as the main dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Marshfield Bakery was started in 1984 by Paul and Lynne White in their farmhouse kitchen in Marshfield, a small village on the Cotswold Way that would come to influence the products made by the couple and their employees. The business began to expand, with interest growing in the local Cotswold Company and its selection of flapjacks, shortbreads, biscuits and loaf cakes, which meant that the location needed to be upsized. Marshfield Bakery has now moved to its third site on the A46 just outside Bath, after a brief production run at their second site - a larger farmhouse just outside of the village. This third site was opened in 2008 by HRH Camilla Duchess of Cornwall and continues to thrive in the countryside environment. With just under fifty employees, Marshfield Bakery has expanded significantly since its humble beginnings but still retains its family values and a grade 'A' BRC accreditation. Visit our shop at Tolldown Barn, just off the M4 at Junction 18.
