This region is home to 700 miles of coastline and 90 islands, including Fyn, the third largest island in Denmark. Also known as "Funen," this attractive island of thatched farmhouses, myriad beaches, forests, beaches and grassland offers gorgeous Kattegat and Baltic views. The most popular spot is quirky Odense, birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, but don't miss Ladby's Viking ship grave, where the remains of a 72-foot longship, burial site of a 10th-century Viking chieftain, have been excavated.

Wonderful Chocolatier with homemade chocolates, small cafe and in the summertime ice cream. Founded in 2003 in a small production facility, Konnerup & Co has grown to produce a variety of chocolates while still keeping the important fundaments intact. Superior ingredients, quality craftsmanship, and fresh taste is what has brought us to where we are today and drives us to create products customers can’t resist. Konnerup & Co has made its home in a 101 year old inn in Vester Aaby, Southern Fyn which has been fully renovated into a modern production workshop and boutique. Here you can take a glance at the daily production while enjoying some of our many specialties including fresh churned ice cream in the summer and new chocolate surprises all year long.

Chocolate maker Morten Aagaard opened in March 2019 Odense's new chocolate workshop with both classic chocolates and innovative flavors. All chocolate is handmade, and the ambition is to create new flavors. This is done, for example, by publishing new chocolate collections three to four times a year, with flavors that suit the season, the holiday season or the things that happen in Odense.
